remember the vietnam war, without the help from cambodia, then for vietcongs hiding and using cambodia to infiltrate to the south, vietcongs had no chance to prolong that war until the USA was so tired of the long war that they decided to end that conflict altogether. so, my point is, vietnam is nothing without help and cooperation from then cambodia' s sihanouk regime. actually, their people aren't that different from the people of cambodia, just the difference in culture, but the people are next door neighbors and for that are same kind of people.

Vietcong doesn't need help from Cambodia. If need be, they can take on Cambodia, Laos, and South Vietnam simultaneously. However, I am glad that they gave us a choice to help as good neighbor should.

These people who wrote comments reacted to every object without thinking. Why do your guys ever think that China didn't attack Vietnam? Million North Vietnamese are majority Chinese. Million Vietnamese were moving to Central and South of Vietnam because of Chinese immigrant are coming to NV.
The Vietnamese characters (alphabets) changed but some alphabets still shared with Chinese. To survive the Vietnamese have to reform a total package of their languages I think they have no choice. 1.2 billion Chinese and 90 million Vietnamese no chance to fight with China since among of the 90 million Viets are million Chinese.
