Abhisit can keep the Preah Vihear joint communiqué, who needs a flip-flopping Thai support anyway?

Abhisit calls on new FM to revoke support in Preah Vihear joint communiqué

July 11, 2008
The Nation

Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva Friday urged the new foreign minister to withdraw the government's support in the controversial joint communiqué with Cambodia over the Preah Vihear listing.

He said the new foreign minister, who will replace Noppadon Pattama, will have to make it clear that Thailand does not endorse or accept the joint communiqu้ and maps and chart of area where the ancient Hindu temple is located.

He said the foreign minister must inform the International Community and the World Heritage Committee that Thailand still reserves its right to the disputed area so the Thai government must have a say in how the area would be developed.

Abhisit was married to Dr Pimpen Sakuntabhai, a former dentist and now a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics at Chulalongkorn University. They have two children.

The Vejjajivas are a prominent family of Thai Chinese (Hakka) origin who maintained good relationships with the ruling elite as early as the 18th and 19th centuries, and Abhisit himself is a fourth-generation Thai-Chinese. One of his sisters, Ngarmpun Vejjajiva, is an award-winning novelist.

Abhisit,

Stop any further provocation. It is fait accompli.

You are trying to throw the rice bran against the current of wind, or to spit on your ass.

Your provocative acts is nonsense.

Where is the freaking Khmer that live in Thailand for sooooo long. I hardly see Khmer in the Thai's politic.

What are they been doing?

They should form their own party or at least have some high position in Thai political.

15-20 Millions in Thailand there is no Khmer in high ranking position???

Or is this you call yourself you love Khmer? Or faking yourself of calling yourself Khmer-Issan??

Why on earth you put yourself as Khmer then you don't have your Khmer-Issan in higher position of Thai politic.

This is really disappointing me to see those Khmer in Thailand for being Thailand's slave forever.

Come on wake up, rise up be your own boss then you will have part of visiting Preah Vihear as ordinary Khmer.

Stop sucking Thai's tiny cock!!!!

6:37pm,

You raised a very legit question for the survival for Khmer's cause. If we were to get anything back from Thailand, Khmer in Thailand must try to get themselves in Thailand political arena; and we,too, Khmer in the homeland must work to support them. They must at least form some association up like the Vietnamese are doing in Cambodia right now. Khmer Kampuchea Krom too must doing something or disguise themselves in the Vietnamese ranks. We must look to the longer terms to achieve our goal.

See at least this guy 9:36PM is showing the gratitude to the Khmer.

Man about time.

Anyway those Khmer in Thailand needs to rise up or form your own association or organization to represent your own people.

Like Khmer Krom, they are doing great now. They well know and heard internationally.

Now they(Khmer Krom) is in UNPO.
And this is a good hope that eventually they will gain self determination or independent soon.

The recently example for those country just got independent are:

1. East Timore
2. Kosovo

Khmer in Thailand needs to wake up!!

Yes, Khmers living in Thailand need to raise up to resist Siam administration from controlling them.

Only Khmers in Thailand, Khmers in Cambodia, and Khmers Krom raises up that we will succeed in preserving our glorious empire

Amen!!!

All-be-shit has never won an election and now his is calling all the shot in Thailand and is this how democracy works in Thailame?

It is okay for the Thai to practice dirty politic among themselves and there is no need to get the International Community and the World Heritage Committee involved because it is none of their business!

Oh yes, it is Thailand businesses when ever anyone stealing temple and land from their Khmer people in Issan Province.

To 3:02AM

Stealing what? Who steal who if you dare ask! Why would any Khmer people in Issan Province want to stand behind the Thaicong government to make claim against their motherland? No real Khmer people will claim anything against their motherland!

To all Khmer your motherland is welcome you with open arm!
