Cambodia informs UN on alleged incrusion

Sunday, July 20, 2008

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (AP) — Cambodia has sent a note to the U.N. Security Council alleging that Thai forces intruded into its territory near an ancient temple.

Information Minister Khieu Kanharith said Sunday that Cambodia's mission in New York submitted a letter to the chairman of the Security Council and the chairman of the General Assembly to "draw their attention to the current situation on the Cambodian-Thai border."

He said that Cambodia was not asking for United Nations intervention and hoped to solve the territorial dispute peacefully.

Hundreds of troops from the two countries are facing off on disputed territory near the Preah Vihear temple for which Cambodia was granted World Heritage Site status earlier this month.

The two countries are to hold peace talks Monday.

Yes, no question, I am sure we can work out long term solution that will prosper both side. We don't need the corrupted UN or any foreigner intervention. If should run into any snag, we could asked China to help mediate our dispute.

Dude, what you should know is China is the boss around here. When they decided on something, no UN is going to change that. Therefore, stop wasting time with losers like UN, ICJ, or other foreigner. Just go directly to the boss.

Cambodia leaders must give diplomacy a chance! But how can Cambodian leaders give diplomacy a chance when the Thaicong government blatantly violent Cambodian sovereignty already without giving peaceful diplomacy a chance! At the end of the day, Cambodian leaders and Cambodian people must come to term that the Thaicong government never want any Cambodian peaceful diplomacy and Cambodia must prepare for war!

We wait for the Monday meeting's result and the letter from the Thai government.

Just be very careful the Siam government will use trick like always. They must withdraw unconditionally.

If they don't then will ask the UN assistance.
