Cambodia, Thailand call for calm over temple dispute [... while Thailand keeps adding more troop]

Senior Cambodian and Thai officials have called for calm, a day after more Thai soldiers crossed the border near the Preah Vihear temple.

Thailand and Cambodia have called a special General Border Committee meeting for next Monday to try to defuse tension over the newly listed World Heritage Site.

The meeting follows the release of three Thai protestors detained by Cambodia for illegally entering the disputed area, adjacent to the 11th century Hindu temple.

Thailand has reportedly ordered 140 elite soldiers to the border.

The countries are in dispute over a 4.6-square-kilometre area near the temple that is home to a small Cambodian village.

Thailand is angry that Cambodia has allowed its people to build a village in the disputed area and wants a demarcation of the border.

Thais are arguably the most egregious historic archfoe known to Cambodian people and other neighboring nations because of their imperious attitudes toward their regional neighbors.

Now is the time for our regional neighboring friends to amalgamate and mobilize to defeat these arrogant enemy for peace and tranquality of our neighbors.

God bless Cambodia and our friendly regional neighbors!

"Promoting the Preah Vihear site as a Joint Cultural Development Area" or "Joint Tourism Area" would be an option to enable both countries to enjoy economic benefits as well as cultural development, Surachart said. Thailand's northeastern Isaan region would become a gateway to Indochina through cultural links."

No need to talk to the monkeys in Cambodia if they can't see the benefit of JOINT development.

Hey, you Thai black-clad extremist fuck head! There's no such thing as "Joint development." This is egregiously preposterous for anyone to have such an idea or concept, particular the fucking Thai government or youreself.

Here's my adice: tell you queen and king to jump off the cliff -- if they don't, we'll push them off the cliff so your country can be free from your ignorant kingdumb.

The Lord Buddhas bless Cambodia!

I am a Khmer living in Issan region and a Thai citizen. I do agree with those Khmers living Preah Vihear Province. I think Preah Vihear Temple belongs to people living in Preah Vihear province. No body else who does not live in Preah Vihear province has a rights on deciding the ownership of the temple. Keep in mind the Preah Vihear Province do exist. It is in northern region of Cambodia. But, Issan do not exist. Only the region does. But, mostly Loas people live there. We khmers are small numbers compare to others in the region. I hope this is clear to my brother who claims to be Khmer Issan in Issan province. You don't represent all the Khmers living here. So, stop using the name Issan.
