[Khmer] Troops boast of better conditions than Thais

Cambodian soldiers in and around the Preah Vihear temple have claimed they enjoyed considerable support from their prime minister and their compatriots, a line which analysts said was meant to demoralise Thai soldiers on the opposite side of the border.
A Cambodian soldier said troop morale was high because Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen had provided support for them, such as giving soldiers US$100 each.
The prime minister also spent his own money buying 10 pickup trucks for logistic support, he said.
Besides, support is also flowing in from the people.
"Cambodians are supportive of soldiers and don't want us to pull out. They bring food and drinking water for us. Cambodia soldiers live comfortably. We can get to the temple by car. Thai soldiers have to walk long distances, eat only sticky rice and boiled eggs.
"Cambodian soldiers here use drinking water to wash their faces," the soldier said.
Observers said the claims were aimed at dampening the spirits of Thai troops in the 4.6sqkm disputed area, who endure relatively rough conditions.
The soldier said Cambodian troops deployed in the disputed overlapping area were quite familiar with the tactics of the Thai troops.
"Cambodian soldiers don't want to fight with Thai soldiers. We are like brothers. But if commands are given, we have to obey.
"Cambodian soldiers won't lose to Thai troops because Thai troops are rarely at war. Khmer forces have much experience of warfare," the soldier said.
He added that even though the Thai military is equipped with F5 and F16 fighters, it cannot drop bombs on Cambodian soldiers should war break out.
This is because Thai and Cambodian troops stay together side by side in the area, and the bombs would hit Thai troops as well.
More than 2,000 soldiers in the temple and the overlapping zone were ordered to stay put and not vote in Cambodia's general election yesterday.
On the Thai side of the border, paramilitary female volunteers in Si Sa Ket's Kantharalak district are playing an equally important role in supplying provisions for the soldiers.
Krongthong Kruawong, one of 12 female volunteers from the 23rd Rangers Regiment, said they wake up at 3am each day to make sure breakfast is ready for the soldiers at 8am. Lunch is ready by 11am.
Food will be transported on trucks for distribution to paramilitary rangers near the temple and the disputed area.
Each day, 400kg of sticky rice, 600 eggs, 600 sausages, 800 packets of ground chillies and 800 packs of fermented fish are required for the meals.
About 13,000 baht is spent on food daily, Ms Krongthong said.
Volunteer Pranom Pannil said most rangers were not worried about food.
"Their concern is that they lack soap, toothpaste, foot powder and mosquito repellent. The area is notorious for malaria," she said.

Now, get yourself a pair of new boots -- not condomes, because our Thai soldiers will kick your arse.

GET THE FUCK OF CAMBODIAN SOIL YOU STUPID FUCKING THAI!!NOW IS TIME TO DIE MOTHER FUCKER
Go Joint Development to save the Temple.
Those Thai soldiers might be contemplating switching sides lol. After all, I'm sure some of them are Khmer ethnic too. That would be funny if they did that haha. Like a big group of them come over and turn in their Thai uniforms and guns and in exchange put on Khmer uniform instead . That would be so fucking hilarious. What you think? :D
“He added that even though the Thai military is equipped with F5 and F16 fighters, it cannot drop bombs on Cambodian soldiers should war break out.”
=Oh well so much for the F5 and the F16 jet fighters! The Khmer soldiers understand the Thai military tactic full well with all their so called modern weapons! Ahahahahh. If the Khmer soldiers are not hardcore guerrilla fighter and they couldn’t possibly forced the Communist Vietnamese military the fourth largest army in the world to withdraw their troop from Cambodia!
Fear No Thaicong!
All the Khmer soldiers have been locked into our GPS and guided-laser missiles. There are no place to hide; we can see you.
Are you talking about surgical bombing? Ahahhahahhah!
In case you fool didn't know that Uncle SAM striped out all the important electronic warfare system and selling you fool only the bare bone system F16 jet fighters!
Hey! After when you fool fly the F16 at supersonic speed and don't forget to find the nearest airfield okay! ahahhaahh
Cambodian government will have to field more Surface to air missiles (SAM) to counter any Thai jet fighters!
Khmer Soldiers are more experienced in warfare than Siams.. But Civil warefare ...
Khmer leaders are more Fragile/// I am affraid if after Election Cambodia will offer all Siam Proposal to make themselves in power for more Mandate(5 years)... Siams have experiences in Peace as of Siam country never faced with waars/Civil wars and know well how to buy Cambodians Leaders"s Spirits etc..the example is in the past the removal of Mr. Major Chea Sophara from PP Major Post was also connected with what Chea Sophara developed Road to Preah Vihear....this was under the ORDER OF TAKSHIN...
I am afraid if our Government become quiet in this Dispute Case due to money/Dollars spend by Siam Tycoon... as in Long Vek Era " ... Prak Duong( then Thai Currency Coins)...NOW Dollars.."
Our Human resource /Nationalist Moral is Limited and unstable...
Khmers lost Moral due to internal Disputes.. Khmer with Khmer Polit. Party with Parties as in election times A Domonant Party used any means and Resources to win election esdpecially those resources/Finance are fron Government/National Budget and when war happens they Collect money asd distributed by Khmer People...
The experience has implied from The Borders Issues with Vietnam..
Siams had no war.. always are in Peace due to Siam Leaders, Kings are so clever... and patrioic..they can avoid all wars of Colony(French) and Imperialism(US)and Communism(China), when Red Thais happened.. Siams negotiated with nChina to Evict all Red Thais from China returning to Siam country and supported those Red Thais to live peacefully and prosperity by offer them pieces of Land and Finance to live as other Siams...
In French Time/Colony, Siam King WENT TO MOSCOW TO MEET RUSSIAN TSAR/LEADERS THEY HAD PHOTOGRAPHES WITH RUSSIANS TSARS BUT NEGOTATION FOR SUPPORT WITH NO RESULT... SIAMS SHOWED PICYRURES TO THEIR FOREGN ENNEMIES THE ENNEMIES SCARED THAT SIAM KING HAD CONTACT WITH RUSSIANS...AND MAY BE SUPPORTED BY RUSSIANS..." ..
Khmer Leaders are far different from Siams....
Excellency Bandit Achar Knoy
one thing in commoon: siam got one eye king, cambodia got one eye prime minister. they both are/were murderers. they killed to get power. ckakri I was basically a killer to jump on the throne. hun sen killed many to get his.
One said, "Khmer soldiers are hard battle experiences!!!."
Another said "Khmer soldiers forced VN (the world's fourth army) out of Cambodia!!!".
I still have vivid memory dated back in Summer of 1990 and 1993 and again 1995 when over 90% of Khmer Rouge controlled and KPNLF and FUNCIPEC camps were overtaken by VN troops in just four months during dry season offensives.
One true story: I remembered and I was told that there was a well-known so called elite KPLNF fighters who claimed to make VN troops weep and urinated in jungle. They were sent in to reinforce existing troops stationed in Nang Chan KPNLF resistance camp. Exactly on morning of 02/17/1993, the fighting took place near the Nang Chan Camp, where I lived.
It took only less than an hour to see this self proclaimed high-moral elite KPNLF force to run away from battlefield in row. Leaving other troops, who never claimed of any thing, to stand and fight until the afternoon. By that afternoon the Camp was taken by VN troops.
Vietnam withdrew the troops because of economic and political hardship that United Nations and Western world imposed on them but not from Khmer Rouge and other resistances.
I will again don't judge the capabilities of each side but time only that I shall see who exactly take the pride.
To 8:16PM
To 8:16PM
Do you understand the art of guerilla warfare? The art of guerilla warfare is to keep moving and not staying in the same place all the time which can target by the enemy! Who said that the Khmer leaders are so stupid not to fight the Communist Vietnamese through diplomacy which convince the whole world of what the Communist Vietnamese did is and act of invasion and it is a violation of Cambodian sovereignty according to international law!
Here the Vietcong with their fourth largest army in the world armed with jet fighters, tanks, and unlimited the supply from the Soviet Union and in addition with the support of Hun Sen army to hunt down the last surviving Khmer refugee resistance fighter along Thai-Cambodian border who are without basic modern weapons! The Vietcong and Hun Sen military were so happy to carrying out the repeated attack to wipe out the Khmer resistance fighters along the Thai-Cambodian border but each time they do it and their casualty raise because there are million and million of land mines planted by both sides fighting this bloody civil war!
It is funny that some stupid Cambodian people claimed that the reason the Communist Vietnamese withdrew their troop is”because of economic and political hardship that United Nations and Western world imposed on them!” If this is the case how come and political hardship imposed by United Nations and Western world doesn’t work on Saddam Hussein of Iraq and why do United States has to invade Iraq for? What about North Korea or Iran who are pursuing nuclear technology? The fact is the economic embargo and political isolation doesn’t work all the time and so the military will have to be used to achieve peaceful solution!
For 10 years the communist Vietnamese military had tested the Khmer resistance fighters and they wouldn't withdraw their troop if they think they can win the Khmer resistance fighter militarily! By the way, it is the Khmer Rouge who dominated all Khmer Resistance fighters and even after the Communist Vietnamese withdrew their troop from Cambodia in 1989 and it took another 9 years for the Khmer Rouge soldier to surrender in 1998!
So far it is the Khmer leaders who had shown the most patient and show a lot of restraint from using military force and they are pushing to end the Thai-Khmer conflict through peaceful diplomacy with the help of the third party such as United Nations! And it is the Thai governments who want to prolong the conflict by insisting on bilateral talk with Khmer leaders and resist any help from the third party such United Nations to end the Thai-Khmer conflict!
Let not give the Thai government a false hope into thinking that they can take over Khmer Phrea Vihear temple through the use of Thai military! In today warfare not only through the use of military but also through the use of diplomacy and economic too to win the war! And from the start the Thai government has violating international law for using the Thai military to occupy Cambodian territory and so far the Thai government had refused peaceful diplomacy to end the Thai-Khmer conflict with the help of the third party such as the United Nations and now there seem to be only one option left for Cambodian government that is to pursue economic war against the Thai government than go to the battle field and make the Thai military suffer like the Communist Vietnamese military in the 1980!
Fear No Thiacong!
