Preah Vihear belongs to Cambodia
following the victory of my SRN Gov’t at
The Hague International Court of Justice in 1962
in which the verdict was as follow:
Preah Vihear belongs to Cambodia
1- H.E. Mr. Thanat Khoman was nice enough to call me a “SUBHUMAN.”
2- In 1968, in a Thai city, they made a large doll “representing” N. Sihanouk. They hoisted this large doll – “decorated” with a banner clearly indicating its name: “Norodom Sihanouk” – onto an open truck. About 100 anti-Sihanouk hilarious and enthusiastic Thais also climbed on the “legendary” truck which was transporting the large “N. Sihanouk” doll, taking it to submit to “torture”: they had to “make” this large doll “die” by burning it and turning it into ashes.
Tens of thousands of other Thais, also hilarious and enthusiastic, participated in this cheery ceremony for the burning of this large doll named Sihanouk in the street where the open truck above was, and along the sides of the street.
Heaven then intervened: the “legendary” truck turned over and fell into a ditch. One of the happy and cramped passengers of the above truck was killed because of this unforeseen automobile accident. The crowd panicked. They ran away from the damaged vehicle … and they renounced “torturing” the large “N. Sihanouk” doll.
(This story is) authentic.

I love my king father
LOL....Death to the thais for Preah Vihear. I see a deadly coup and a civil war headed towards thailand's future.
Gentleman
We owe our king father a deep gratitude for him and his team in reclaiming Preah Vihear from Thailand. And finally the ruling of International court in 1962, accepting Preah vihear as cambodian temple.
We all know that this is not Hindu temple as some of writers get the world cofused that the temple belonged to either Thais or Khmer. It is misleading.
Neang SA
did the king vote???!!!
I think he try his best to protect our motherland, even though sometime he failed due to following leaders who think that they are more national-loving persons than the King Father is but actually they are the ones who killed people, destroyed natual resources and made countries in trouble as of today.
close your mouth sihanouk about preah vihear you must think the result's election in cambodia .
CRAZY AND GAY PRINCE .
YOUR SON SO IS A GUY P.D
He was Flip-flop king.
Kicked Thai ass for Preah Vihear and later when Youn invaded Cambodia he then kissed Thai ass and cried for help.
So Why did Pol Pot kill your family and why they put you in jail? Did God intervene too? You can claim credit for making peace inside Cambodia, but your antiphathy and constant hostility with neighboring countries have cost people's lives. Shame on you Sihanouk.
Khmer USA
Many Thai soldiers sent to PVH said to Khmer soldiers theat they would escape if fighting started. they knew the land belong cambidia, many said.
the former khmer rouge said they can't wait to shoot the thai soldiers
My cousin station in Preah Vihear area said those soldiers sent by Thai in large number they can understand Khmer. He bet most of them are Khmer surin and Thai with Khmer's blood. They really don't want war with brother Khmer. Only those stupid PAD instigate the fight which twisted the story of saying PV is on Thai's soil. Clearly the Hague already said that belong to Khmer and with 4.6km of surrounding area.
I've bet you Khmer will win with diplomacy and battle if war starts.
Khmer Pride,
The Khmer Empire was a powerful Kingdom in South-East Asia. Its major architectural works (temples and sculptures) are located in present day Cambodia, where the capital of the empire was located. However, during long periods of time the Khmer ruled over parts of present day Thailand, Laos and Vietnam.
Like other major ethnic groups in the history of South-East Asia (the Thais, the Mons, The Chams) the Khmer are thought to have descended in the prehistoric period from the river valleys in Eastern Tibet and Southwest China. The Khmer appear first on the scene (in Chinese records) in the second half of the 6th century A.D. with the Kingdom known as Chenla.
Ascent to Phanom Rung (Buriram Province). Phanom Rung was built on between the 10th and 13th century A.D., but mostly during the reign of King Suriyavarman II (1113-1150 A.D.)
The Angkor era became the central area of settlement from the early 9th century up to the demise of the Khmer Empire in the early 15th century. The Empire itself had its ups and downs, and remained a single authoritarian state for only limited time periods, when strong military leaders where on the throne. Important leaders contributed by building new temple complexes in the Angkor area. Angkor Wat was constructed in the early 12th century under Suryavarman II. Jayavarman VII, considered to be the last great leader of the Khmer, built his new capital at Angkor Thom.
Famous Vishnu Anantasayin lintel at Phanom Rung
During the reign of Suryavarman II the Khmer Empire incorporated most of present day Thailand. The Mon Kingdom of Haripunchai in Northern Thailand (Lamphun) was conquered. After the death of King Suryavarman II the Khmer Empire was somewhat in disarray and suffered military defeats at the hand of the Chams, who briefly incorporated Kambuja into the Champa Kingdom.
Muang Tam (Buriram Province). Muang Tam is located close to Prasat Hin Khao Phanom Rung. Muang Tam dates to the late 10th century A.D. (King Jayavarman V)
Jayavarman VII reasserted the Khmer and carried out many building projects. After Jayavarman VII the Khmer Empire entered into decline. The Thai Kingdom of Sukhothai managed to repel the Khmer. The Empire was threatened by the Mongols (but not annexed) under Kublai Khan in 1283.
The Thais became the persistent enemy of the Khmer in the following few centuries. The Kingdom of Ayutthaya conquered Angkor in 1431. Thereafter the center of the remaining Khmer Kingdom moved south to present day Phnom Penh.
Buddha (with Naga) at Prasat Hin Phimai (Nakhon Ratchasima Province). Prasat Hin Phimai was built around the turn of the first millenium, mainly by King Jayavarman V and King Suriyavarman I.
Since the Khmer reigned for long periods over extended areas of present day Thailand, Thailand has a substantial number of important Khmer monuments on its territory, mainly in its Northeastern Region (such as Phonom Rung and Muang Tam in Buriram Province, Phimai in Nakhon Ratchasima province, Muang Singh in Kanchanaburi province). Any look around the old temples of Sukhothai, Lopburi and Ayutthaya will also reveal strong Khmer architectural influences.
Prasat Muang Singh (Kanchanaburi).
Prasat Muang Singh all to the west of present Thailand, was built under the reign of Jayavarman VII ( (1181-around 1220)

Kamphaeng Phet province is located south of Sukhothai province, and is 358 km away from Bangkok. Kamphaeng Phet was formerly also known as Nakhon Chom. Settlements along the Ping River were present in the 11th century. The region for a while was an outpost of the Khmer Empire, and later in the 13th century became part of the Sukhothai Kingdom. Kamphaeng Phet was not mentioned on the early Sukhothai inscription stones (while other cities were), indicating that it was initially not incorporated into the Kingdom or not of great importance. However it was recognized as a town of significance during the reign of King Li Thai.
The Kamphaeng Phet historical park has been established at the Old City site, and the area is now being cared for by the Fine Arts Department.
'Windows' at a wihan (vihara) at Wat Phrakaew, Kamphaeng Phet historical park
While not quite on the scale of Sukhothai or even Si Satchanalai, the Kamphaeng Phet historical park covers an extensive area, located mostly within surrounding forests. The Royal Palace itself has been destroyed. Wat Phrakaew is the largest monastery and located adjacent to the old Royal Palace. It contains several wihans (viharas), an ordination hall, and a large chedi. There are some restored Buddha images on the site.
Scattered throughout the forest are the Aranyik Ruins. These remain of the many forest monasteries that were prevalent at the time of the old city. Most date to the 14-16th centuries.
Standing Buddha, Wat Si Iriyabot, Kamphaeng Phet historical park
Phra Si Iriyabot was a large monastery and originally housed large Buddha images in four different positions. A standing (restored) Buddha is the only remaining large image.
As the sites at Sukhothai and Si Satchanalai, Kamphaeng Phet also has a Wat Chang Rop, where the base of the large chedi has the laterite sculptures of the forequarters of elephants. The laterite originally was covered with stucco decorations. Some have been restored.
Elephant sculptures around Wat Chang Rop
The Kamphaeng Phet National Museum, as most provincial museums at important historic sites, houses quite a few interesting artefacts, sculptures and Buddha images. The most well known and quite striking statue is a bronze Shiva dated from about 1510 A.D. It indicates the importance of Hindu deities, even at the time Buddhism was well established as the religion of Sukhothai and later Ayutthaya. Unfortunately, no pictures can be taken at this National Museum.
They need to say Komphaeng Pich correct not Komphaeng Phet!!!
The kingdom of Ayutthaya existed between 1350 and 1767 A.D. and was founded by its first ruler King Ramathibodi I. The prior and short-lasting kingdom of Sukhothai to the North was absorbed into Ayutthaya. Theravada Buddhism became the official religion early on and King Ramathibodi I also compiled a legal code.
The Thai rulers of Ayutthaya were absolute monarchs. They assumed the title of 'devaraja' (god-king) as opposed of the title of 'dhammaraja' during the Sukhothai period. As devaraja the King became an earthly incarnation of the lord Shiva.
Wat Chai Wattanaram, Ayutthaya
In geopolitical terms, Ayutthaya rapidly became a very strong power in southeast Asia. The history of Ayutthaya is a also a history of repeating wars with its neighbors. While Ayutthaya was ascending, the Khmer empire that had ruled large parts of present day Thailand, was already in decline. Angkor was eventually truly defeated in 1431.
Thai rulers were also involved in repeated conflicts and campaigns : rebellions in Sukhothai ; trying to subdue the northern city of Chiang Mai ; trying to control the trade in the Malay Peninsula.
Interestingly, very soon after the Europeans started sailing around the world in the 16th century, they made contact and established trading relations with Ayutthaya. the Portuguese arrived first and a Portuguese embassy was established already in 1511. Later on, also Dutch, English, Danish and French people came to visit and stay in Ayutthaya. There were also important commercial ties with the Japanese. Foreigners were especially welcomed during the reign of King Narai the Great (1657-1688). Later on however, foreigners were expelled and Ayutthaya sealed itsef from the West.
Wat Phra Sri SanPhet , Ayutthaya
To the West, the Kingdom of Ayutthaya faced its most formidable adversary. The Burmese overrun Chiang Mai and Laos in the mid 16th century, and captured the city of Ayutthaya for a first time in 1569. They installed a vassal king at Ayutthaya. However, the control over Ayutthaya by the Burmese was shortlived, and King Naresuan the Great (1590-1605) managed to defeat the Burmese and reinstall authority.
About two centuries later, the Burmese converged again on Ayutthaya. After a lenghty siege, the city of Ayutthaya fell and was utterly destroyed. This destruction of art treasures, buildings, historical records makes it difficult nowadays to truly visualize the splendour of Ayutthaya in its glory days.
Phra Narai Ratchaniwet (King Narai's Palace) - Gate. King Narai built his second capital in Lopburi in the late mid 17th century.
Overview of temples in Ayutthaya
When I studied the Khmer Empire history we recorded that Ramathibodi was Khmer's field general in the west of Khmer's empire outpost. That's what alot of people said the creation of SIAM was created by Khmer's general or "Sdach Kranh".
SIAM was created by Khmer's poop!!!
Ramathebodi=Reameathibodey in Khmer

Agre with the comments that"
"Cambodian look into their properous past" and "Thais look for their prosperous future"
If's remind me of the english saying"If you want to move on You have to put your past behind you"
The past is not equal the future.our past is prosperous doesn't mean our future will prosperous.
Wake Up Khmer,,
we proud of our past prosperous but the problems is now"present"
Madboy,
Success or victories of yesterday are not of today and the future. Usually countries of old civilization will be in the decline.
King father !
Please, if you happen to mention about your success in claiming Preah Vihear from Thailand, don't forget H.E. Truong Cang, a Khmer Kampuchea Krom Avocat defending Cambodia at that times.
Chey Yo ! Mr Truong Cang !!! The son of a Khmer farmer from Preah Trapaing(Tra Vinh), Kampuchea Krom !!!
Son.Samrach
I am Khmer-Thai. I remebered in every where Thai-Khmer lived or visited, there was story and picture of King Father Sihanouk for us Khmer-Thai to remember like an 18 years old King Sihanouk has a baby without marriage and many things Thais did put King Father Sihanouk down. That was after King Father Sihanouk defeated Thais in ICJ. In Thailand we were taught that Angkor Wat and Preah Vihear belong to Thais. We didn't study the history hundred years before
how Thailand was created. We thought Thais built those temples.
Now we have internet and we know now. Actually King Father Sihanouk is so smart but he got caught in the middle of superpower nations.
King Bhumibol got lucky after WWII ended.
And don't forget to ask King Bhumibol why did he shoot his own brother King Ananda Mahidol on the head in cold blood?
Bhumibol wants to compete with Sihanouk, now what?
Bhumibol lost Peah Vihear to Sihanouk, and why Bhumibol does not respect the ICJ? How could he, if he didn't respect Thai Constitutional Law? He broke the law by ordering his militray to overthrow PM Thaksin. His Lese Majesty Law created only to protect him and his own family memebrs in Thailand but not outside of Thailand. I am tired to see innocence Thais have to crawl under his feet and his family members' feet and hang his picture at every where.
And another one his son is a playboy serial killer. That dumb azz is dying with aid, glad he is.
Ah Hun Sen got the best profit from Khmer king so much ,and all profit , Hun keep them in Viet Cong place .
King Sihaknuk said if we want to get profit we have to start
To expense, kounjao enter Marqee Marqia forest ,now he expense
More than two million Cambodian lives .Where is the profit?
From his stupid Plans? Sihaknuk if you are a man and have the gut
Please tell us what is your conspiring with Vietcong and khmer rouge?
Do not see your self in the front, and claim your self as
an angel please check your self from the past, or you will be judged as
The Cambodian big killer in the khmer history
Long Live Your Majesty! I have no idea that ah Siems were that bad back in the days before most of us were born.
Now we see ah Siam 12:26AM and his gangs play tune for us to fight with each others.
May be he 12 26am is Bhumibol. LOL
After Sihaknuk plan failed, Viet cong that Sihaknuk feed them
Supplies the weapons ,medecine and hiding Vietcong troop from the
USA bombarding ,turn around and kill all Cambodian people through the
Blame to the khmer rouge and take the opportunity to colonize khmer.
With all these mistake A)Create khmer rouge
B) Hiding Vietcong to swallow Cambodia
C) Give venom to Hun Sen to be a cobra to kill khmer
And all your guy still claim this retarded oop! Retire king is the God. Please learn not to be idiot before u loose a whole Cambodia
It is the funny story on the former king Sihaknuk
He bragging how good he was ,but for the naughty thing that he was done for the terribly mistakes he buried them like Cambodian people knowing nothing about his cracking butt
I read this story it is the funny story on the former king sihaknuk. really its very funny.
