As I have predicted, the Preah Vihear talk in Sakeo on Monday, the 21st of July, had ended where it had begun and failed miserably. The primary reason was the failure of the Thai side to recognise the 1904 and 1907 treaty between the two countries. I am not surprised with the failure as the negotiation had ended the way I had predicted it would end. What I am surprised was that the Cambodian chief negotiator, Gen. Tea Banh, did not insist on the Thai withdrawal from the occupied zone first as a condition for any further negotiation.(Read full details of the talk here).
Cambodia cannot negotiate with Thailand while the guns were pointing at its head. For any meaningful negotiation to take place, the occupied Thai forces have to be withdrawn to the pre-occupation period and that is pre-15th July. The glorious achievement, as both sides have excitedly declared, was the agreement to keep both forces where they are now without engaging in any military actions. This agreement is an insult to the intelligence of the Cambodian people as it will benefit Thailand greatly because they are the occupying forces and therefore, when they are allowed to stay in the area they had militarily occupied, it means that they have achieved their original aims, which were to occupy and remain in that zone.
Cambodia had been tricked to agree to allow Thai forces to remain in the disputed zone. To agree to leave the forces where they are now is tantamount to recognising the de factoThai occupation of the area.
Cambodia cannot be complacent about the Thai tactic. Thailand would want to prolong the negotiation so it can solidify its position in the eyes of the international community. The longer the negotiation drags on, the better Thailand would position itself and the more international community would lose momentum and interests in the conflict. If this is to happen, Cambodia would have an uphill battle to win this dispute diplomatically and, to a certain extent, legally. Cambodia must move forward very quickly in its diplomatic drives in order to keep this issue on the ASEAN and UN agenda. To vacillate any action would give Thailand an advantageous edge and that would be a suicide for Cambodia.
Cambodia had taken the first positive step when Foreign Minister Hor Namhong accepted the offer of mediation from ASEAN, after the talk had failed. Next, if the ASEAN mediation failed, Cambodia must not hesitate in bringing this issue to the UN Security Council. If the UN mediation failed, the next step would be the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
Coming back to the negotiation, I would suggest that Cambodia discontinues its negotiation with Thailand any further because it is a game that Thailand had used to appease Cambodia and world opinion. It is Thailand’s tactic to win international opinion and to prolong its occupation of the “disputed zone”. Cambodia should negotiate with Thailand only after Thailand had withdrawn its troops from the occupied zone. On top of this, any negotiation to settle any border disputes with Thailand must be based on the maps of the 1904 and 1907 treaty between the two countries because it is the only treaty that Cambodia and Thailand had ever concluded. To use any other maps would be against international practices and is tantamount to surrendering Cambodia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity to Thailand. Cambodia must be firm on this.//

Cambodia must be firm and push for a Thai withdrawal as a pre-condition for any negotiation. Cambodia must move very fast. It is sad that Thailand does not want ASEAN to involve but it refused to withdraw troops or solve anything. ASEAN does not want Cambodia to go further than ASEAN. But if ASEAN is unable to solve anything, Cambodia has the right to go beyond ASEAN.
Mr. Hun Sen should not send Khmer delegations to re-negotiate with Siamese, as long as their Military still present in side our territiry, please stay firm to, as sovereingty nation and alway stick to 1904, 1907 treaty,and then the prize of Khmer dignity rewarding by the(ICJ)in 1962. There is no reason to resume talk with the thieves. We're victimize by this Criminal act commited by Siamese thieves.

Hun Sen must keep pushing for the UN to ask the Siam government to pull their troops without any condition.
Cambodia is sticking to the 1907 Treaty, the French didn't force the Siam king to sign this Treaty.
In 1907 the Siam king was happy with the Treaty because it protects their ass. Now that the French is not here anymore let scrap the Treaty and take Cambodia's land.
Is the Siam government is compose of kids. What's wrong with these people. Do they really thing that we going to give our land just like that, because they ask for it?
The Hun Sen government should ask the UN to kick the Siam out quickly, without any delay.
If the UN is not willing then will do it ourselves.
There is no way that Thai will benefits from it. The UN will scold them or condemn them.

The Hun Sen government must keep urging for the intervention of the UN, because the Siam government want to show the world that they are the cool guy, but behind the scene they are pushing for their map and justify their invasion.
We must show to the UN that invading Khmer territory is no laughing matter, and we are very serious. It's our sovereignty that the Siam is trampling under their feet.

Cambodia must let UN decision !
We are now have a good conditon in the international law thus we must have to bring these issues to UN. No country in the world do like Siamese. HUN SEN YOU HAVE TO STAY FIRM on law these is the policy to protect our land and let participation by UN.
If we when on war we all lost, Thai will lost more then us. As recorded Thai get business in Cambodia, import to this country nearly 4 billion, just imagine, no products go to Mayamar, Malaysia, Singapore, as their products is poor quality versus those countries.
We need to block their economic as well.

Analysis on Thai military !
(1). They have alot of weapons but no experiences to fight they will dies alot compared to ex.polo pot army.
(2). Tehy will use the big bom to destroy us. But then will be participated by Vietnam, from the border of LAO is fight first.
(3). Military of Thai just show off actually never have war ! we used to eat specia in the forest, without water in 7 days in the forest, 5 people fight with 100 people, ....thus Thai will dies. Health just thinks about water they will dies from water becasue Cambodia they need to be hygience, then in war, like this they will dies by illness, they usaully sleep in good place we are sleep in the forest. They could not do.
They can fight may be win at first but could not stay as those people are no immune in the forest like our ex. pol pot. Even they sent the marine, train in USA but what strong they eat very good food thus these is their failure.
As you see in IRRAK, US dies every day and lost of their money and now they seek to withrow from IRRAK.
But we are not IRRAK, we are strong in law in UN, International court, link with many expert of Vietnam, US, China, France, then we have to win. Before they just fight with the small ex.pol pot they lost. But now how they can fight we ahve alot of people have skill more than 25 year in war. Who stronger ?
In war we never things about good weapons it just substitute but one things is Human, if Human is not strong how ? who can opperate ?
Human need to have things to eat, water, ....every things. So not just weapons.

yes, cambodia must act expeditiously. this is urgent, and we cannot afford to prolong this issue. we must call to the attention of the UN, the world's diplomatic community to condemn and punish thailand for violation the international law and for holding cambodia hostage due to its stronger economy. we must act now! we will prevail in the court of law. god bless cambodia.
It is a lot simpler if you just stop trying to steal and temple from Khmer people in Thailand.
