Protesters greet Noppadon at airport

Thursday, July 10, 2008

(BangkokPost.com) - Foreign Minister Noppadon Pattama returned to Thailand from a trip to Quebec, where he tried to postpone the Cambodia's listing of Preah Vihear temple as a World Heritage site but without success, on Thursday morning.

He was greeted by more than 100 supporters of People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD), who shouted at him and demanded that he resign from post.

An army of reporters were waiting at the airport before the flight landed at 6.05am, but he managed to avoid them.

He is scheduled to hold a press conference at the Foreign Ministry at 2pm, amid speculation from local media that he might decide to resign from post.

Steal it from Khmer people in Issan Province????? Hahahahahaha...what a joke. Siam people don't give a shit if you are Khmer from Issan Province. To them, they want the temple for themselves, not for you Khmer surin. With the temple belonging to Cambodia, at least it will be acknowledged that the temple is Khmer and will forever belong to all Khmers. No one is trying to steal it away from you Khmer surin people, we are just properly securing what belongs to Cambodia so that it will always be a part of Cambodian heritage and tradition...and this means for Khmer kandal, Khmer surin and Khmer krom.

Do you realize how twisted and biased history is from the Thai history books, teachings and point of view????????
