[Thai] Academic criticizes people worsening Thai-Cambodian dispute over Preah Vihear

July 23rd, 2008

Dean of the Faculty of Laws, Chiang Mai University, Dr. Somchai Preechasilapakul, calls on the society to denounce people whose actions have caused international conflict concerning the Preah Vihear issue.

Dr. Somchai says the Preah Vihear issue has escalated following political problems in Thailand and requests all sides to stop their actions to worsen the Thai-Cambodian dispute over Preah Vihear. He also suggests people to resolve the conflict peacefully.

The dean also says there are some groups trying to seek benefits by using patriotism to make people hate the government and their fellow Thais.

We all know the Temple and the surrounding areas belong to Khmer people in Issan Province. We don't need Phd to figure that out.

Khmer Issan were the slave of Khmer people in Cambodia and now they become the slave of Thai and Chinese

We all know the temple of Preah Vihear belongs to Khmer. All Thais who wants it must pretend to be Khmer because the Khmer are a superior and sophisticated civilization. So the only link the Thai have to this great civilization is through forcing Khmer Surin people to speak on their behalf. Understanding these tricks, The Khmer people started smashing Thai heads and smashing rocks on these trouble makers.

Issan Khmer pretend that you are thai's dog
ខ្មែរឦសានក្លែងធ្វើខ្លួនជាឆ្កែថៃ

Thai language is derived from Khmers and Pali. Thai royal used only Khmer languages. Thais migrated from black river and the majority in Thailand are still Khmer-Mon then Thais, Chinese, and the rest are less.

Who care about language. Japanese derived their language from Korea, China, and Maybe Mongolia. Vietnam adapted romanized characters ...

Stop changing the subject. The question is, is the temple belongs to Khmer in Thailand or Khmer in Cambodia?

1:53, Khmer Surin were not being forced to do anything. They have been a citizen of Thailand for centuries, but that doesn't give you the right to steal their temple away from them.
