Thai-Cambodian border talks to begin soon

The Cambodian and Thai governments have agreed to hold a top-level meeting in Thailand's border province of Sa Keaw next Monday to ease border tensions. Both countries have increased their troops build-up in areas near the Preah Vihear temple since the ancient Cambodian temple was designated as a World Heritage site a week ago.

The listing of the 900 year-old Khmer-style Hindu temple is a source of great pride for Cambodians, but much annoyance to Thais. The Thai government's endorsement supporting Cambodia's bid has only earned itself criticism that it is jeopardizing the country's claim to land near the temple. Massive protests since then have forced Thailand's Foreign Minister to resign and prompted the government to take action in line with the surge of nationalism.

Thai troops near the Preah Vihear Temple had increased to 400 on Thursday. And the number of Cambodian troops patrolling there is twice as many.

Such a stand-off is creating a nervous situation in the border area. On Thursday, clashes broke out between a group of anti-government demonstrators and local villagers on Thai side of the border about 8 kilometers from the temple. Authorities say at least 10 people were injured.

Sam Sothavry, the Cambodian Commander at Preah Vihear Temple says, "I suggested that we should stop moving troops into the areas in order to keep the situation normal while waiting for solutions from the top leaders and not allowing civilians to enter."

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen is pinning hopes on the two country's high-level meeting slated for Monday. In a letter to his Thai counterpart Samak Sundaravej, he says the stand-off is very bad for the bilateral relations and has urged Thai troops to withdraw immediately.

For Monday's meeting, the Cambodian delegation will be led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Tea Banh. And the Thai side will probably be headed by Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej. Both countries want to get things back to normal in the area soon.

The temple has been a source of tension for over forty five years since the International Court of Justice ruled that it belongs to Cambodia.

Text of report in English by Cambodian state news agency AKP website
Phnom Penh, July 17, 2008 AKP - "The situation at Preah Vihear is worsening," said today Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen in his letter to Thai Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej over the current issue of Thai troops' deployment near Preah Vihear Temple.

"During our telephone conversation (16 July 2008), I asked Your Excellency to order the withdrawal of Thai troops from the area of Keo Sikha Kiri Svara pagoda (called Preah Vihear Pagoda) near the Temple of Preah Vihear, so that the situation could return to the status prior to 15 July 2008. Unfortunately, as of 17 July 2008 the situation is worsening due to a continuing increase in the numbers of Thai military inside and around the area of Keo Sikha Kiri Svara pagoda and the presence of Thai protesters," he said.

"The deteriorating situation is very bad for the relations between our two countries, and, therefore, I would like to ask Your Excellency to take measures to ease the tensions and order the Thai troops to withdraw from the area of Kea Sikha Kiri Svara pagoda near Preah Vihear Temple. These troops have encroached on our territory on 15 July 2008, and have since increased in numbers rather than withdrawing," said the Cambodian premier, adding:

"It is important that we, representatives of our two states, have still reaffirmed the ongoing good neighbourly relations and long- lasting cooperation so that we could resolve the problem through negotiations as well as setting the meeting schedule between Your Excellency and His Excellency Tea Banh on 21 July 2008."

Now, Prime Minister Hun Sen must give these son-of-bitches black-clad exrtemists to withdraw from our sovereignty and territorial integrity in a timely manner in accordance with our sovereign right. Again, Mr. prime minister, you have to let these extremists know that you mean business -- that starts with you. If need be, learn from the late John F. Kennedy's leadership during the Cuban-missile crisis.

Remember, Kennedy did not chicken out!

How to settle Preah Vihear Dispute ?
No Problem with Preah Vihear issue-- we will win-win
Because-
1. We have much more Army Generals than Thailand has( we have a lot of Generals from 1 stars to 4 Top Gold stars
2. We have more Excellencies than Thailand has
3. We have more Samdachs, Oknha, Bandits (Phd.), Prime ministers (in 1995), Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Deputy Prime Ministers, provincial Governors.... that Thailand has/ or than other counties world wide...
4. We have a lot of Military equipment such as Military trucks which are used to Transport illegal Loggings and Military Vehicles used countrywide to anywhere such as to restaurants and Bars...... We have a lot of Guns/pistols which are used every day in the cities and county sides to fire on people in ladies affairs disputes.
5. We have much more Luxury Cars-Lexus Landcruisers with Army & Police Plate Numbers that represent Our Top Generals and Excellency countrywide.....

6. The best way to settle such a problem is to send some hundreds of Cambodian Generals to the Disputed Borders.....Thais will be afraid of our numerous Multi-Generals which increase from day to day.

7. But is the National Embarrassment that our Army (Royal Cambodian Armed Forces) have used a lot of forces to fight with Local unarmed-Cambodians in Land grabbling... so our Armed forces (Army, Police Economy Police, and military Police-PM) may be too weakened now...

8. It is a National Embarrassment that most of our Generals just attack in the Cities and with Local Cambodians in Land disputes, small Disputes in Night Clubs, Karaoke and any unnecessary Fire shots.

Note: when I saw the Cambodians army in Dispute with Thai Army ..It reminds me about the Royal Cambodian Army disputing with Unarmed People in Land Disputes in Cambodia; They can protect their land But for Preah Vihear how will it be going on....?

From Excellency Phd. Bandit, General 7 Diamond Stars, Oknha Achar Knoy

It is all started when the Thaicong government allowed their three undercover Thaicong civilian protesters to cross Cambodian border illegally and the three Thaicong civilians were detained by Cambodian authorities for breaking Cambodian law! The Thaicong government used the detention of the three Thaicong civilian protesters for breaking Cambodian law as an excuse to come into Cambodian territory to rescue them! The issue of Thaicong civilian protesters illegal crossing into Cambodia can be solved through diplomatic channel especially through the Thaicong embassy in Cambodia and why the fuck Thaicong military need to rescue Thaicong civilians who are break Cambodian law? Is this a fucken Thaicong hostage crisis on Cambodian soil? Of course not! So now as the Thaicong military personnel pour into Cambodian territory, the Thaicong government twisted the whole story 360 degree and now the whole story is about protecting Thaicong territory and sovereignty and it is no longer about rescuing the three Thaicong protesters who are breaking Cambodian law! The Thaicong government is blaming everything on Cambodia for violating Thaicong territory and Thaicong sovereignty! The Thaicong even blame Cambodian authorities for the troop build up! When did this happen about Cambodian military going to into Thailame to violate their territory and sovereignty? I want to know!

To make the matter worst, the stupid Cambodian authorities condoned the Thaicong aggression since day one by arguing for the Thaicong aggressor that the Thaicong aggrssor were using a different map which led to the confusion and that the local authorities can solve the matter themselves! So tell me what map does the stupid Cambodian authorities are using? Are they using the Thaicong map or International Map or the World Map? By saying the Thaicong were using a different map, the stupid Cambodian authorities had accepted military defeat because they allowed the Thaicong aggressor to use their map (not international map) to violate Cambodian territory and sovereignty at free will! And now the stupid Cambodian authorities are asking the Thaicong government to withdraw their troop from Cambodia? ahhahha It won’t be long the Thaicong military will use their Thaicong map to claim Angkor Wat and what can the stupid and incompetent Cambodian authorities do now? Oh well! The stupid Cambodian authorities can always say that is the confusion and the wrong map again! Ahhahahhahahhahahhah!

I never thought Cambodian authorities can be so stupid and incompetent! If anything needs to be done in solving the Thaicong civilian illegal border crossing and it would have been done on the very first day! It doesn't matter whether it is Thaicong civilians or Thaicong military personnel and they all must be stopped at the border crossing from entering Cambodia! And to allow the Thaicong military personnel to enter Cambodia in the hundred and heavily arm as if they are walking for a picnic and to have Cambodian soldiers sleep among as if they are brother and sister is unspeakable! It is a fucken joke to have stupid Cambodian authorities repeatedly warned Cambodian soldiers not to fire or start anything first unless the Thaicong fire on them first! As far as I am concerned the Thaicong military doesn't need to fire a single because they have successfully occupied Cambodian land and break Cambodian sovereignty already! Now it is too late for stupid Cambodian authorities to do anything and the Thaicong military is occupying Cambodian land and they are here to stay!

It is painful to be stupid and yes the Cambodian authorities are one motherfucker and they are feeling the pain right now because they can’t make the Thaicong government to withdraw their troop from Cambodia and all of them deserve to be executed at noon!

By the way, the Thaicong are creating the fucken problem in the first place and they are blaming the stupid Cambodian authorities for the problem! It is time to let the bullets fly and make the blood flow and I want to see death bodies because there is a price to be paid for violating Cambodian sovereignty!
