As of 1.21pm, Thai-Cambodia General Border Committee has not yet started as a four-eyed meeting between Supreme Commander Gen Boonsang Niempradit and Cambodia's Defence Minister Gen Tea Banh is still continuing.
Both chairmen of the GBC started at about 10.15am at Indochina Hotel, Sa Kaew province.
The GBC's special meeting was called to meet in Sa Kaew to defuse military tension near Preah Vihear Temple.
The full GBC meeting will start after the four-eyed meeting finished.
Other officials including Army Defence Minister Gen Anupong Paojinda and Permanent Secretary to foreign affairs are waiting at a meeting room at Indochina Hotel.

The International Court of Justice in The Hague ruled ownership of the temple to Cambodia in 1962. The row was reignited by the World Heritage Committee's decision to list the temple as a UNESCO site earlier this month despite Thai objections.
Three Thais were briefly detained on July 15 for crossing into a portion of the temple compound that is still subject to a border demarcation dispute. The three were released within hours but prompted Thailand to send paramilitary troops to the contested area, where they remained.
The border spat also coincided with the annual foreign ministers meeting of the Asean Singapore this week.
Singapore Foreign Minister George Yeo urged Cambodia and Thailand to exercise utmost restraint while finding peaceful solutions to the row.
"We urge both sides to exercise utmost restraint and resolve this issue amicably, in the spirit of Asean solidarity and good neighbourliness," Yeo said after an informal dinner of Asean officials on the eve of annual ministerial meetings.

Consider all odds, negotiation in Thai soil, Srah Keo, should not have been an option at all. More over, our Khmer representative Tea Banh is not a good choice either because he's probably more Thai than Khmer (He speaks more Thai at home). Thai troops might have better weapons but very inexperienced at war and our former-Khmer rouge troops have mastered to survive the battle against Vietnamese troops for decades. If the war starts, it looks like Thai blood would cover more ground than Khmer for the very first day.

Aranyaprathet (dpa) - Thailand and Cambodia failed Monday to find a quick fix to a dispute over an ancient Hindu temple on the Thai-Cambodian border, but both sides agreed they wanted the row to subside.
"We want the temperature to come down," said Cambodian Defence Minister Tea Banh after an eight hour meeting on the Preah Vihear temple dispute with Thai Supreme Commander General Boonsrang Niempradit at the Indochina Hotel in Aranyaprathet, Sa Kaeo province.
Boonsrang said the two sides were unable to solve the legal issues involved in the controversy over the temple's compound, parts of which are claimed by both Thailand and Cambodia.
"We will need to consult the government on the law," Boonsrang told a press conference after the lengthy meeting.
Tea Banh said no solution to the row was likely before Cambodia's general election scheduled for Sunday.
While both sides claimed the meeting was not a failure, neither agreed to withdraw their troops from the Preah Vihear vicinity, about 650 kilometres north-east of Bangkok.
The Aranyaprathet meeting was held in an attempt to defuse an intensifying dispute over the ownership of a 4.6-square-kilometre plot of land adjoining Preah Vihear, an 11th century Hindu temple with a long history of causing border tension between the two neighbouring countries.

It is a good lesson for us Khmer to unite. Facing the larger evil, belonging to different political parties is just a minor issue among Khmer. We must leave that aside and unite to kick the enemies out.

Thai-Cambodia crisis talks end with no deal

ARANYAPRATHET, Thailand (AFP) — Talks between Cambodia and Thailand to resolve a military stand-off on their joint border ended Monday without a solution, defence officials from the two nations said.
After nearly eight hours in closed-door meetings in an eastern Thai town, the two sides agreed only that force must not be used to resolve the nearly week-long crisis over disputed land near the 11th century Preah Vihear temple .
"We both have legal problems of which we have informed our seniors to discuss," said Thai Supreme Commander General Boonsrang Niumpradit.
"We will both bring back the problems to our governments."
More than 500 Thai and 1,000 Cambodian troops are stationed around a small Buddhist pagoda on disputed land on a mountain slope leading to Preah Vihear, which is owned by Cambodia.

18 million Isan Thais are Loa ethnic. 1.4 million Isan Thais ar Khmer ethnic. Now they have good life in their motherland, getting more educated, widely freedom for thier culture, religion, everything... (these also apply to every Thai Individual)
These Khmer Isan people are better, wealthier than those in Cambodia.
So Why do they need to join you?
If Khmer Isan really want to join you Cambodian, I don't think they will be foolish to bow their head and be under top boots of Cambodian rulers from Phnom Penh.

Getting the land from Thailand doesn't make our khmer people live better, it lead longer problem. Our khmers went to do sell things at thai's land. They live well there. We should not lead them into problem. Just we start to reduce our hate and learn to give, difficulty will turns to easy. And our cambodia will be better, not just for rich politicians, but for all of us in whole country. Preah Vihear was lost to Thai long ago. Why shouldn't it belongs to Thai?
As from getting the land back from Thai, it can be beneficial, but not without spilling some blood. The problem is Cambodia is not good at war game, unless it's willing to ask Viet, Lao, or France to help in exchange for lands and permanent residency as usual. But what good is that? You still will lose lands from the exchange, not to mention the lost of many lives.
