Thailand and Cambodia to hold bilateral talks on the 28, Cambodia to withdraw UNSC petition

PM wants to engage in bilateral talk on Preah Vihear

(BangkokPost.com) - Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej said he has talked to Cambodian counterpart, who told him that Cambodia will withdraw the petition it filed with the United Nations Security Council on Preah Vihear matter.

The decision would lead to a bilateral talk on Monday, he explained.

"I just talked to Hun Sen, and we agreed to hold a meeting at ministerial level at Siem Riep on July 28," Mr Samak told reporters.

Because the position of Foreign Minister in Thailand has been vacant after the resignation of Noppadon Pattama early this month, it is expected that the position will be filled before the scheduled meeting so Thailand would have a representative to engage in the talk.

I think this is a good chance for Cambodian to ask for help from UN, and if not we absolutely can not get our land demacated in 1904. We can tell that without having International Court of Justice in 1962, Thai would invade most of the provinces along the border.

Thai has been educting its young generation that most of our provinces such as Siem Reap, Prah Vihear, Swaysisopon and etc. belong to Thai, then sooner or later it will have the same situation as today.

AH George Yeo fails to learn to from Cambodian history in the 1980! Cambodia was invaded in 1979 by the communist Vietnam with the support of the Soviet Union! Communist Vietnam has the fourth largest army in the world and it is Cambodian people who bear the brunt of the Vietnamese invasion for 10 years and nobody understand the issue of invasion more than Cambodian leaders and Cambodian people!

AH George Yeo and his ASEAN members including the Thaicong aggressor need to stop talking by showing some action now in trying to diffuse and to contain the Thaicong-Cambodian conflict as soon as possible because more talking won't lead to nowhere and the Thaicong government chose to act in defiant of international law and order!

The memory of invasion is still fresh on Cambodian people mind and Cambodian leaders will not take any invasion lightly because Cambodian leaders and Cambodian people had been through it all! So for the Thaicong-Cambodian conflict to be solved the ASEAN must change their mindset in trying to understand how the Cambodian leaders and Cambodian people perceive the world! It is no surprise that it is Cambodian leaders and Cambodian people who are the one that want to end this conflict as soon as possible that is why Cambodian urge to the third party(UN) to get involve and ended this conflict quickly before it is getting out of hand!

The are is no point of blaming Cambodia for being a victim of Thaicong aggression or even past Vietcong aggression which led to invasion of Cambodia in 1979!

Thai know they are making living on Khmer territory, event Bangkok or in Khmer Ti Krong Devada Mohanorkor used to call in Khmer Boeng Kak. Now Thai still shamlessly want to plund more Khmer territory, instead Thai must unconditionally return all Khmer provinces like Sorin Aranh and so on back to Cambodia. Wish might of god of Preah Vihear sin this thief gene nation to ash.
