The National Security Council (NSC) is to meet with other agencies to follow up on agreements made at the assembly in Siem Reap on the border conflict between Thailand and Cambodia.
But no date for the talks has yet been set, according to Foreign Ministry spokesman Tharit Charungvat.
The Foreign Ministry yesterday invited 11 Bangkok-based diplomats whose countries are members of the United Nations Security Council and envoys of nine members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations to a briefing on the outcome of the Siem Reap meeting last Monday between Foreign Minister Tej Bunnag and Cambodian Foreign Minister Hor Namhong.
Cambodian ambassador to Thailand Ung Sean reported the meeting's outcomes to other envoys.
The briefing was aimed at convincing Security Council members to back efforts by the two countries to resolve the border row over 4.6 sq km of overlapping territory between Kantharalak district in Si Sa Ket province and the Cambodian province of Preah Vihear.
Thailand and Cambodia agreed to reduce the number of troops in the area as a step towards a military withdrawal, to hold a meeting of the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) to demarcate the border line, to clear landmines around Preah Vihear temple and to seek to avoid armed confrontation.
Thailand's deputy foreign minister co-chairs the JBC, together with Cambodia's Senior Minister Var Kim Hong, who is in charge of border affairs.
But there is no deputy foreign minister, and that could delay the meeting.
''There might be a problem in Thailand resuming JBC talks, as it does not have a deputy foreign minister to lead the meeting,'' Mr Tharit admitted.
Supreme commander Gen Boonsrang Niempradit said the Foreign Ministry was the key agency in solving the problem with Cambodia and the armed forces would support its efforts.
With the proclaimed success of the talks in Siem Reap, Gen Boonsrang indicated that there was no need for another meeting of the Thai-Cambodian General Border Committee, which is chaired by the respective defence ministers, in the near future.

What success???? Just military withdrawal and Thai called it a big success???Folks what do you think???? Isnt Thai provoke the military confrontation??? And now I dont understand at all OR .....????
Pals you still remember Samak said that after the election, RCG wouuld not be as tough as it behaved before the election. Any connection to all of this??? Have the government cede land to Thai or give any concession under the table????? I don't think Thai hasn't received any benefit when Thai itself caused the conflict; the case is worldwide published and even brought to UN; and after the second meeting in SR after the election, Thai agreed to withdraw its troop!!!!!you guys understand of all these?????????
The RCG has to disclose the information in the meeting to the public or it must be hidding any secrets with Samak or perhaps the worst part is Khmer are losing more piece of land or signing any treaties harmful and not-beneficial for the country.Got to figure all of these out!!!!!!!

The world has to obey the law and order of international law (UN's law). In this case related to the invasion of Cambodian's sovereignty that Thailand violated is success?
When Thailand dragging those 11 diplomats to observe the land that they invaded they think those 11 diplomats would be on Thai side?
How stupid the Thai think the world can be bias like they believe too?
I am raising this awareness because according to the border treaty signed between the Thai and the Indochinese representative (French)of 1904-1907 the border is further into Thailand included this 4.6km2.
Don't tell me the world are blind too.
And HUN SEN, please don't accept those unilateral drawing by the Thai at any administration of Thailand at all.
HUN SEN, you have all the golden opportunities to bring this case to the UN. Please go straight to the UN and make sure remind the UN about the sea border as well.

We are waiting for leaders who can restore Khmer honor. Indeed, everybody know the current Khmer government is pretty tough on his own people (just listen to all speechs given by Hun Sen), but ceding land to foreigners on both end. Election that just been conducted, yet again, Khmer got cheated. How much more and how much longer Khmer can take?
Hun Sen must suck Nguyen dick harder.

If the standoff linger to much and it will, the siem will use it as justification for the so-called disputed zone.

Here's my assertion with regard to the Jewish people: These people are trouble makers and religious fanatics; also, responsible for the war around the world. Or, shall I say that these people also responsible for the death of Jesus (not the Roman, of course, the death of Jesus is debating as to whom killed Him).
Now, you need to cogitate of your assertion about the Jewish being the most intelligent people.
What about Khmer people? I believe we (Khmer) are one of the most intelligent people on earth, if we were given equal opportunity, for instance, edequate food, school supplies, fund and other basic needs. Yes, we are intelligent.
What would happen if these Jewish people -- also, so-called most intelligent people -- have to learn a second language? I can assure you that the vast majority of these so-call most intelligent people will not survive by one of the commentators.
Well, it is their success all right. They invaded our land and then successfully talked us into agreeing to withdraw our troop from our own land. When will politicians wake up and smell the roses.
When I read most of each article I will most suffer of taking action Of our soft GOV against A Chor Siem. How do we convince our GOV leader to have strong position? I think most of Cambodian are now not only with A Chor Siem but also with our GOV on the strategy solving. They are strong enough with only our nation but too coward with Siem. For example of Keo Puth Raksmey's case he was remove from his position immediately. Why don't they fight with Siem like Keo Puth Raksmey case?

You certainly don't hear anything about the Preah Vihear issues lately, after the incumbent party rode its way to a landslide victory (with the help of cheating, stealing, disfranchising).
I say: welcome to the new communist era of Cambodia. Also, this is what the U.S. and other Western countries are afraid of, that is, the domino effects of communism. Now, Cambodia is quietly joining the club with the Vietnamese and China (and soon Burma). However, they cannot drag Thailand with them, because the U.S. is backing up this country in every inch of the way.
The ruling party regime can only be changed through war with our regional neighbor Thailand. Now, the possibility of war is unlikely, because the Hun's administration will not go forward, because they're afraid of losing their business interest (too much at stake).
You're right ,I agree that some jewish is the trouble maker and somes are business gangster.I also agree that khmer is one of the most intelligence people in the world.Unfortunately why such a intelligence people make cambodia like today?
If u are abroad ,u will know the feeling that when we tell other we are khmer.Then they ask where is cambodia? angkor wat? Oh I know ,cambodia is one of the poorest country in the world.Some khmer even tell other we're khmer.It's real that i heard.
We proud our past but we have to face the present.Now we're one of the most poorest country in the world.How to prove the world that we are one of the most intelligent people?

It is very tough for Cambodian to go to the UN because the YOUN is chairing President of the UN security council. His name is Le Luong Minh, president of the U. N. Security Council.
But anyway, we can still go because this world won't be blind to not see the Thai aggression over Cambodian's soil.
