On Thursday, the third day of border incident with Thailand, Thai black-clad soldiers camping inside Cambodia’s territories in Preah Vihear temple have not pulled out yet. Quite to the contrary, Thailand had sent in more troops. AFP reported that right now, the number of Thai black-clad soldiers reaches more than 400, they are facing with more than 800 Cambodian soldiers who are stations around the Prasat pagoda, located on the foothill of the Preah Vihear mountain. General Chea Keo, the Cambodian army commander for the Preah Vihear province, told reporters that the situation could turn to the worse if Thailand continues to send in more troops on the region. Chea Keo said that if Thailand continues to add more troops, the situation will be very tense, however, Cambodian troops are holding back. He added: “Thailand wants to provoke us to take the first step, but we try to stay cool.” The AFP reports that Cambodian troops are stationed from the foothill of the Preah Vihear mountain all the way to the top of the mountain, Cambodian soldiers are armed with AK-47 machine guns and B-40 rocket launchers. Meanwhile, Thai troops are stationed inside the empty court of the Cambodian Prasat pagoda which is surrounded by wooden homes covered with tin roof. Chea Keo admitted that Thai soldiers have more modern weapons than Cambodian soldiers, however, Cambodian soldiers are better positioned since it is occupying the top of the mountain.

The Thais are encroaching our territory. Our people fled from their homes at the Temple. We must not allow the Thai to occupy that area.

Good luck to our courageous soldiers.

I think Khmer overseas and locals should gather foods and medicine to help our poor soldiers.

It is well known that Cambodian armed forces in the 60's, 70's, 80's ,and 90's were hopeless.

Now, let's see how effective the current Cambodian armed forces are at the border besides being very good at evicting the poor Cambodians from their land.

Please khmer unified, sent the letter to UN's representative in Phnom Penh and all the embassies, close the border and kick out the Thai ambassador, and then RGC must complain to ASEAN, NATO and UN to help this problem as soon as possible!!!!!
We should deal with International Law and diplomatic But if no choice, we must fight to protect our land. If possible should delay the election date, hope all the politic party won't mind with our nation when our nation faces the biggest problem like this.

Hope the god bless Cambodia.

Hmmm, so ah Nan Chao Siems want to play bait with us Khmer folks...hmmm. Anyway, don't be afraid to send these shameless Nan Chao Siems to hell, defenders of the Motherland. We outnumber these shitty people and we have more war experience and it is payback time for all the senseless killings they did to the innocent Khmer refugees in the 80's and 90's. Send all these hellish Siems creatures back to hell where they belong.

If Hun Sen is a real nationalist, he should open his mouth and exert himself in front the Thai robbers.

he has proved to be a good slave of the yuon so far.

General, don't let your enemy know your weakness -- and under any circumstances -- never underated your foes. You fellow men will do just fine with that weapons of choice (AK-47)and B-40 rocket launchers.

Also, let enlist the former Khmer Rouge fighters young or old (the old ones, we'll use as advisors).

Blood needs to spilled to let the invaders that we mean business.

Think of the consequences:

Thailand:
1)Fighting two enemies Muslim and Cambodia, the Muslims in the south are playing cat and mouse, eventually the mouse will come out to play. Other neighbors will join in, because they're not fond of the Thai either.

2)Economy will become stagnant, foreign investment ceased, and decreased in number tourists

3)A... NO.. NO..in the eyes of International Communities

4)Thai businesses in Cambodia will lose billions of dollars...

5)Human casualties

6)Even if Thailand wins the war, blood will be spills generations and generations to come....

Cambodia:
1)High human casualties/ Thais have more sophisticated weapons--F16..etc

2)Billions of dollars lost due to decreased in tourists

3)Put the country back behind other countries 30 more years

4)Roads and infrastuctures that have already built will be destroy

I'm glad the Khmer government play it cool.

The Thais military, you can't blame them; the Thais in general are arrogant people.

When push come to shove, both sides will lose.

Lose-Win is better than Lose-Lose?

based on your remarks.

If we back down, we as a nation no longer exist. Might as well divide the country between the viet and tha thais.

We have international law behind us. Even the thought of negotiation should be banished.
Thais GET OUT!

What it used to be normal will not be normal in Thailand, because things are just about to change their life styles.

Thai, may hell be with you!

I, Khmer ultra-nationalist, would like to humbly and respectfully refute the Cambodian Royal army Brig. General's comment on the Thai soldiers that have more modern weapons, but we're (Cambodian) on the hilltop.

With all due respect, sir (Gen.), the former Khmer Rouge (during the Khmer Rouge era)only needed rubber-black sandles, hammock, and a AK-47riffle (or B-40 rocket launchers) will do the job just fine. Also, remember that we are fighting with the Thai soldiers with modern weapons with conventional soldiers. In fact, we have every advantage to defeat these egregious historic archfoes out of our sovereignty; it is our sovereign right to do so. More importantly, after the war (if hell broke out loose)we'll have the U.N. and the international community blessing. Or perhaps, better yet, our brother Burma will lend us a hand.

May the Lord Buddha bless Cambodia and our soldiers!

I am a Khmer living in Issan region and a Thai citizen. I do agree with those Khmers living Preah Vihear Province. I think Preah Vihear Temple belongs to people living in Preah Vihear province. No body else who does not live in Preah Vihear province has a rights on deciding the ownership of the temple. Keep in mind the Preah Vihear Province do exist. It is in northern region of Cambodia. But, Issan do not exist. Only the region does. But, mostly Loas people live there. We khmers are small numbers compare to others in the region. I hope this is clear to my brother who claims to be Khmer Issan in Issan province. You don't represent all the Khmers living here. So, stop using the name Issan.
