Border panel to negotiate on Ta Muen Thom dispute

(BangkokPost.com) - The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, Gen Anupong Paojinda, said the border committee of Thailand and the Cambodian authority will have to talk over the claims over the 13th century Ta Muen Thom temple, a second ruin on the disputed border of Thailand’s Surin province and Cambodia's Banteay Meanchey province.

Gen Anupong said the Thai border committee needs to negotiate with the Cambodian counterpart by mainly adhering to the Thai map, after Cambodia has claimed ownership of the land around the ancient temple.

The situation along the disputed border areas of the two neighbouring countries is orderly, Gen Anupong said, and he reminded Thai soldiers to avoid facing the Cambodian forces while overseeing the general situation closely.

He, however, refused to comment about the impact from the possible confrontation between Thai and Cambodian forces, reasoning that it is a sensitive issue. It would not be appropriate for him to discuss it, as he is a state official, Gen Anupong said.

Here we are fall to the same trick of rotten Thai evil aggressor. On Preah Vihear the general wait for the Thai government which they did not ask the government before they send their troop to invade Khmer. Here again, Gen. Anupong Paojinda, send his troop to occoupy Khmer temple, Ta Meun temple, without the Thai government approval and then wait for the government to tell them to get out from Khmer land. Take the whole issue to UN and be done with it. Let Asia has some peace.

It is my sincere hope that Washington DC (District of Columbus) does not become a new Thailand capital city (in the not-too-distant future). Moreover, it is my belief that it would be judicious for Thailand to keep Bangkok -- as it’s the capital city of Thailand (not Washington DC), because Thailand is certainly does not want to become (yet) another Israel (de facto state?). Further, I see there is uncannily similar between Thailand (particularly in the south) and Israel. Certainly, Thailand has more problems on the horizon -- and, of course, greater challenges ahead.

Prerequisite course before joining the newly elected government: “How to grab land and forcible evictions 101” course is currently being offer by the Hun Sen's University in Phnom Penh, taught by the CTN executive producer.

Also, “how to kill and murder your peaceful protesters peacefully course 101” will be offered later in the year by Sun Sen’s advisor, Dr. Kiev, PhD.

Should you have further questions, please contact either Lt. Gen. Kiev Sopshit or Mr. Kiev Kannarat.

You confidently thought that Hun Sen is smart, but unfortunately, his master Youn is smarter, that was the reason why CPP had suddenly cancel the UN meeting!

If there is ever going to be a fighting between Siam and Khmer, Ta Meun Thom would likely be the site.

The 70 or so Siamese troops that occupy the temple compound were asked to leave by our Khmer soldiers. Not so fast, said the Siamese, why, this temple is ours and we have been there for a while now. Look, look at our Army Maps, it clearly shows that the temple is in Siam. So go back home, Khmers.

Does not that sound kind of funny? I mean, just because they have been eating and shitting on Khmer soil for a while does that mean they the soil is theirs to claim? It is just like saying “look landlord, the neglected garage that I have been keeping my stuffs there is now mine since you left it vacated for sometimes now.”

And there you have it. If I were a judge in this case, I would say “you the plaintiff and you the defendant (or you the thief and you the landlord) I find you both guilty.” And now I turn to face the thief, “and you! You are guilty of stealing the land of the people who were once your brothers. I sentence you to shame in eternity.” Then with a stern face, I am turning to the landlord, “And you! I find you guilty of negligence beyond belief. I, therefore, sentence you to shame in eternity as well.”

Negligence, my dear fellow Khmers, is the one thing that robs us of our land. We were asleep at the wheel and when we decide to wake up, the vehicle that we are driving is only inches away from the light pole. Bam, vam, thank you ma’am. And the deal is done.

It is as absurd as it could get when dealing with Siam. Listen, the temple’s name is Ta Meun Thom. It sounds Khmer’s…wait it’s actually Khmer’s name. How can Siam say that it is theirs. Yes, as I said in my opening, if there is ever a fight, that’s where it is going to take place. It is far away from Preah Vihear and it is in the areas where the French or anyone else had ever taken notice of. Yes, it is a suitable place for exchanging some fireworks. Khmers would have to be careful though as not to be the one to pull the trigger, but if push comes to shove, then Ta Meun Thom is the place. This is where Siam hopes the fighting would start.

We need to be really ready and be smart. I believe in General George S. Paton’s motto “the best defense is offense.” Hit them where and when they least expect us.

My beloved Khmers!

In order to restore our beloved Khmer's honor and pride back, We Khmers must patriotically stand up and fight this robbers, Siam.

Comprehensively speaking, Hun SenVarman and his bloodsucker's parasites are explicitly no desire to fight Siam nor Youn as long as they selfishly still have their job, money, power, and women!
