During a press conference held in Phnom Penh on Monday 25 August, Khieu Kanharith, the minister of Information, wished to clarify the declarations he made the day before to the Cambodian and foreign media in which he said: “Cambodia indeed intends to build ‘border posts or a concrete wall’ along its common border with Thailand in ‘complicated zones,’ but not something akin to the ‘Berlin wall’.”
Khieu Kanharith also rejected an article published by the Thai English-language newspaper, the Bangkok Post, in which he allegedly announced the construction of an actual Berlin-style wall between the two neighboring countries. “The correct words are: border posts or a concrete wall,” Khieu Kanharith stressed while indicating that this would not take place only after the conclusion of the negotiations between Thailand and Cambodia on the delimitation of the common border in contested areas, including the one located next to the Preah Vihear temple.
“We are discussing this issue [with Thailand] since 2000,” Khieu Kanharith added, while underscoring that “these border posts or walls would be built in difficult areas where smugglers are using as their crossings or in areas auspicious for various crimes.”

The fence is built to keep the wild dogs out. The Khmer bosses can fly to play anywhere they please. The issue here is to keep the invasive wild dogs out for now. So fed up with these unconscientious animals in human forms. We Khmers for now are seeking peaceful living among neighbors. But historically, it has been proven to be an impossible dream. Living in the wilderness among wild animals no human civilization is up held and recognized. It's all about strength for the moment. That time will come... inevitable. I live in the US and we have beggars here, but no such thing a Thai beggars. That's amazing.
