Don't be so stupid!! The damn article make it look bad than it is by calling it rat. It's not the dirty rats found in household and garbage dump, it's a RICE FIELD muskrat.
from 1975 to 1979, i used to eat rats. when i was staying in Otaki, Battambang i used to catch hundreds a night. it was quite nice like chicken but i was starving at the time. you're right field rats should be alright for cosumtion.
That's HUN SEN regime.
However it is a dirty animal that everybody should not eat. In china, million of rat killed evry year and they do not eat it. Nowadays regime is worst than pol pot regime 1000 times. For me i don not eat even a piece. This is Hun Sen's regime.

You know this site never says anything good about Cambodia. Always this wrong, that wrong. Always always wrong. Well, mister high class, Khmer farmers eat these kinds of food all the time. Maybe you once did too but since you now live in the land of the rich and free, you forgot where you came from. A person that forgets his root isn't going anywhere in life
Cambodia economics growth is 10-15%, whereas the inflation is at 37%. You do the math. Today rat meat for dinner. Tomorrow??? The viet suck Khmer resource dry, and Khmer still vote for CPP. Are we brainless people. It appears so...
If you end up byiyng rat meat from the city, you 'd better watch out! Most people know, germ in rat can make you really sick with blood flowing out from the base of every hair on your skin. sounds scary, you'll have to see for yourself. In the meantime, most who have survived the KR's regime knew well that rats' meat in the rice field tast pretty dawn good and it keep them alived til this day. So folk, enjoy it in the meantime! Those rats' meat had been tested and experimented by a real human being. You're o.k. Just don't pick up the wrong rats' meat. Make sure you buy them from the farmer you know. You'll be alright. Trust the one that slaughtered it by hands. The are the one to die first or just stay out from it!

It also showed how most of us could survive the horror of killing field and believe it or not, we ate them lived thru it and still here. Again rats in Cambodia then ate rice. Their homes are at the rice field. They are rice's rats. So you still have to be careful folk!
