Cambodian and Thai forces continue to face off near the 900-year-old Preah Vihear temple.
The confrontation started earlier this month, when Bangkok backed Cambodia's bid to have the temple listed as a World Heritage site. That sparked Thai nationalists, who seized the opportunity and swung into action. But there has been continued sentiment over the issue, ever since the International Court of Justice ruled in 1962 that the temple belonged to Cambodia.

The Khom are not Khmer, not remotely Khmer or conneted. The temple was built by the Thais and Laos! Idiot, there were no Thais nor Laos when the temple was built. The Khom are the Khmer. Khom is spell Kho & Mo its not meant to be read as Khom, it is a pali word, meaning "patient". Khmer people of today speak the Khmer language, write the Khmer script, or what you call the "Khom" script. Your Khom script is written on your tatoos are not resemblaces of your ancient Thai people but rather an exact script of Khmer people!

According to Somdach Song Choun Nath (Born 1883) who is a prolific monk in the language of ancient Khmer and in Pali and Sanskrit, the word "Khom" derived from the Pali/Sanskrit word Khak Mek, which is how "Khom" is written, with the Character "Kho" and "Mo" which when read in Pali is "Khak Mek" instead of "Khom" as read normally. If you understand how to read Pali this make sense to you. But if you don't let me give you an example,
When reading in Pali the Khmer script:
Ko, Kho, Kor, Khor, Ngo becomes
Kak, Khak, Kek, Kheak, Ngek,
To, Tho, Tor, Thor, No becomes
Tak, Thak, Teak, Thak, Neak
Yor, Ro, becomes Yeak, Raek etc.
The Pali word Khak Meak means a person whose character is calm, not easily tempered, a virtue of patience.

Khom is not Khmer but Preah Vihear built by Hindu Khmer Kings and Khmers won at ICJ. The Temple was built long before Siam became a nation. ICJ gave Thailand years to file against ICJ, but Thailand has never done it, so Thais lost.

After we Thais claimed our ownership over the Prah Viharn and Ta Moan Thom, there were hundreds of Prasat which Thailand will claim that those Prasats are the Thailand ancestral Prasats.

They defeated Khom's Angkor and took back Angkor peasants and royal court to Ayutthaya where they adopt ancient Khmer culture.
