According to a report by General Sor Thavy, the deputy provincial governor of Preah Vihear province, at 6PM on 06 August 2008, there were some protests made inside the Wat Keo Sekha Kiri Svarak pagoda by Thai black-clad soldiers when Cambodians were installing light bulbs. Thai soldiers prevented the installation of these light bulbs, claiming that when the light bulbs are on, they have a hard time sleeping. Nevertheless, Cambodians insisted in installing these light bulbs until they succeeded.
In the evening of that same day, another incident took place when a Thai flag hoisted in Poy Ta Mok, located about 1 kilometer along an access road, disappeared. It could be that the flag could have been taken down by a strong wind gust because, in the last few days, the area is very windy. During the 80s, Poy Ta Mok was occupied by the Khmer Rouge administrating the Preah Vihear temple area. At the time, Ta Mok, a KR leader, lived there. It was Ta Mok’s habit to go to that place when he arrived from Anlong Veng, the KR stronghold, that was why the area was called Poy Ta Mok.

If it's true that when cambodian soldier installed the light and turned on at night and the thai soldier could not slep. Let install more lights.
Thief always needs no light....,
Thief works at night times mostly
It is not a win-win approach. we can sleep even during day time. Somewhere in Norway never get dark, but the people still able to sleep. If we install more light it will cost more.
We should find a better way, to force them out of our country.
Siam is not thief but historical thief.
Sorry I am strong man with my unarmed- country men by with my Friend-Ennemies Thais-Viet...No...No...Patience/Peacefull

Khmer just install light in our own country. Thai should return back to its dark land.
If they can't sleep ask them to leave. Cause this is Cambodian soil!

To all Khmer Compatriots:
Thailand claims that there are 16 border disputes along the 800km long border with Thailand.
I noticed on Yahoo aerial map the 4.6km2 is shown as part of Thailand. Secondly, the border with Thailand at Poipet used to be at a bridge and now it is moved at least 500 meters into the Cambodian side. I have met someone who recently visited poipet and claimed that the checkpoint back in 1975 and during the Khmer Rouger rule used to be half-way at the bridge now it is moved way inside cambodian side.
We must question our leaders regarding the Poipet border.
800km x 500m = "THE WHITE ZOON"
If Kampuchea's leader don't want to war then just call that area "THE WITH ZOON".
Tep Vong a 7th January monk said "We must stand still and drop tears down...rather go to war". That's the theory of the Khmer-Vietminh, because they want to live in peace with their enemies.
And do everything in their power to kill their own ordinary people as much as possible.
Cheyo Khmer-yuon dor rongroeung!
To Thieves,
Go to your fucking home if you want to sleep well...
I am speaking on behalf of all Khmer people from the bottom of my heart that Cambodia MUST say "NO" to "joint development."
We must not succumb to foreign pressure – and more importantly – we should not sell our ancestral estate for the sake of business interests to benefit the business and political and robber baron elite. Instead, the Cambodian government should show a major repudiation of the incoming meeting on border spat, and – again, should not kowtow to foreign pressure.
Cambodian sovereignty and territorial integrity must be PROTECTED at all costs.
May the Lord Buddha protect Khmer people and her motherland!
Khmer farmer
This is a siem trick to do their some illegal moves during the night.
Don't count to much on your night goggles siem, it will not save your life.
you mean they can't see with their night vision goggles with light bulbs shining at night. hey, it's cambodia's territory, we can do whatever our people find convenient in our crave for higher standard of living, ok!!! god bless cambodia.
