Cambodian survivors of the Khmer Rouge's notorious Tuol Sleng prison have welcomed the indictment of their former chief tormentor, Duch.
Kaing Guek Eav, better known as Duch, was charged on Tuesday with war crimes and crimes against humanity.
He's been accused of overseeing the torture and extermination of more than 12-thousand people at the prison.
Duch is the first suspect indicted by the UN-backed genocide tribunal and investigations are still underway into four other former Khmer Rouge leaders.
