Boonsang: Ta Kwai Ta Krabey dispute won't intensify

Thursday, September 18, 2008

(BangkokPost.com) - Supreme Commander Boonsang Niampradit believed the dispute over Ta Kwai Ta Krabey temple between Thailand and Cambodia will not exacerbate like the Preah Vihear case, if negotiations take place.

According to Gen Boonsang, a neighbouring country is using this period to raise the border demarcation again because Thailand is currently dealing with its internal issues.

In order to solve this problem, Gen Boonsang called on Thai people to strengthen the country without showing weaknesses.

He said a joint border committee and relevant units can negotiate the Ta Kwai Ta Krabey case, adding that negotiations would be the best solution at the moment.

So sad Boonsang was a good prime minister at the climax of the Preah Vihear dispute.

Samak was prime minister only on paper. Democracy at its purest state.

Cambodia do not explore Thailand when Thailand in political crises; in fact in the case of the border issues, Thailand is the one who started it, and it happened before Thailand began their political fights among themselves. Thailand has been good at manipulating the issue and bring up Cambodia. Cambodia just wanted to be left alone so that we can rebuild our country.

why thailand have a tendency to change khmer word to make it their own. the khmer word "ta" mean grandpa and the siem have no shame to change it to ta kwai or whatever, still using the khmer word "ta". how pathetic!
