According to an estimate published on Monday 08 September by the (pro-CPP) Rasmei Kampuchea newspaper, Phnom Penh dwellers would have eaten between 450 and 500 dogs each day.
Each day, the demands for dog meat are increasing in Phnom Penh. However, most of the dogs which ended up on a plate are not controlled by the sanitary service, as opposed to fowl, beef and pork meat.
The reason is because the majority of the dogs are stolen, both in the countryside and in the city, to be resold at $20 a piece. Based on anonymous testimonials by veterinaries, the Rasmei Kampuchea estimated that between 450 and 500 dogs are being eaten daily in the city. In comparison, 1,500 to 2,000 pigs are being sold daily in Phnom Penh.

I don't think Cambodian eat dog,OK! but since Vietnameses living in Cambodia, dogs are being stolen daily. In fact, Vietnameses eat about 2,000 to 3,945 dogs per day in Vietnam. Now, Over 10 million Vietnameses in Cambodia, they eat Cambodian's dogs. they steal Cambodian owner dogs ,and they teach Cambodians to eat dogs like Vietnameses. Don't be stopid, OK. Vietnameses Noodle Suop in Phnom Pheng and everywhere in Cambodia, Vietnameses use dogs meat for your Noodle Soup. You must be Watch OUT!!!.

A week ago, there was news about Khmers eat RAT. Now Khmers eat dog. I think it is because of the higher price of the alternate meats such as beef, pork, chicken and fish. This proves that the Hun Sen regime cannot control the inflation.
I am a Cambodian and went through the Pol Pot regime. When there was nothing to eat, we ate anything. Eating RAT or DOG is nothing strange. It is a surviving situation. It is the Hun Sen's regime who has made Cambodian people down to this situation. Shame on the Hun Sen's regime!
We all need to look closely and deeply, as long as Vietnameses continue living in Cambodia, more Cambodian dogs are being lost daily. Khmers eat dog and rat just for survive during Pol Pot only, but now since Vietmaneses come to live illegally in Cambodia, more Cambodian's dogs lost every dad. When you go to Cambodia, any Veitmanese Noodle Soup restaurant, Vietnameses use meat's dog, bones'dogs for your Noodle Soup, and Dog's meat sausages. Khmer people don't like, but no choice becuase Hun Sen's regime is as the same as Pol Pot's regime.
Dear all Khmers. Please let's not play the blame game. It isn't just Vietnamese that eat dogs (and cats too) as well as other meats 3 times a day. You are all FAKE BUDDHISTS. Real Buddhist are VEGETARIANS !!!!! Love and compassion for all animals is a must before you call yourself a human being. Any meat eater and animal medicine user will suffer the pain and murder they have caused in HELL.
