Cambodia's King Norodom Sihamoni has pardoned convicted fraudster Prince Norodom Ranariddh, allowing him to return home from self-imposed exile abroad.
Prince Ranariddh, now living in Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur, had been sentenced in absentia to 18 months in jail in March last year over a $US3.6 million illegal property sale.
The court ruled he improperly sold his former political party headquarters and used proceeds from the sale to purchase another property in his own name.
Hours after Hun Sen was formally re-elected the country's prime minister King Sihamoni issued a royal pardon for his half-brother Ranariddh upon the request of the premier.

All Khmer watch out, the mad cow (ie. Ranariddh) re-enter Cambodia soon. This animal can easily spread his diseases.

We certainly do not need mad cow disease in Cambodia, since the disease is deceptively spreaded.

I am fucking tired of this royal pardon bullshit. Fucking royal cons and powerful people always get away with crime committed while innocent people like Born Samnang and Sok Samoeun get locked up like animal. This culture has to stop. It is unjust to khmer people.
Ranariddh is a mad cow.
Well, Ranariddh is corrupted man.
I think he's a corrupted's man.
At what level? I don't know.
So why Sam Rainsy lose the corruption's case
against Ranariddh at May of 2006?
It's the french court who give the decision
that Sam Rainsy and his wife have accused
mistakenly Ranariddh.
It's not Khmer Court.
And Ranariddh accepted 1 dollar for defamation.
Sam Rainsy do a lots of talking.
So before giving to the public his thoughts,
Sam Rainsy should think about the consequence.

That is the problem when the garbage people (CPP) run the country,
every thing turned in to garbage.

i hope cambodiad will take crime against the state seriously. if someone committed a crime against the state, they ought be held accountable with the laws and be punished as so. no more double standards for anyone. where is the justice for all khmer people?
No problem with the pardon (I don't want to know how dogs interact with their kind), but we want the 3.6 M USD back.
