The Soc Trang provincial authorities have provided VND52 billion (US$3.1 million) to help repair local Khmer pagodas, sanctuaries and crematoriums.
So far, more than 80 per cent of pagodas and sanctuaries in the province have been repaired, attracting tens of thousands of ethnic Khmer.
The local authorities also have earmarked VND28.5 billion to upgrade a school for training monks and nuns for Khmer pagodas in southern provinces.

Yes indeed they are a hypocrip by nature. One of their " experty " .
I used to travel to Kampuchea Krom many times. In every Buddha's " ASANAK" in every Khmer Krom temples all over the Khmer Krom territory, Ho Chi Minh's pictures were placed in front of the Buddha. It's an order by the Vietnam government. So every times you bowl to the Buddha to express your thankfulness for the creation of Dhamma, a guideline for all human beings to conduct a peaceful and right livelihood, you are bowling to Ho Chi Minh, the VN hero.But Khmer Kroms never get fouled. They always praise Khmer Krom heroes such as Oknha Son Kuy, Lok Ta Son San, Son Gnoc Thanh etc...and they hate Ho Chi Minh.Whatever the VN do to change their minds would never work.I hope Khmers in Cambodia take that as good exemple.
This is how Vietnam and it people work.
They are friend when you talk to them and stab you in the back when you turn around.To our fellow Khmer we need to standup this is no different to the Thailand.
UN security council need to take action against Veitnam on these issues it been too long of inactivity.
vietnam is so greedy and wanted to dominate the mekong delta area that once belonged to cambodia. of course, with any domination, vietnam is to be held responsible for all the people including the khmer krom indigenous people. of course, with a big population comes big responsibility for all the people living in it. so, vietnam must treat everyone equally and with dignity and respect. this is what vietnam have to do because vietnam is greedy to want to take khmer krom from cambodia. if anything less, vietnam is only asking for trouble and i'm sure in this day and age, nobody wants any problem anywhere. remember, we all are neighbors and should be good neighbors. until we all realize this fact, our people will never stop suffering. peace to the region. together we stand. we all will be better off in the long run.
Like the mongolian in history mistreated alot of country. Look now, china is paying back the mongolians ten fold. Mongolian now is suffering in the hand of china.
One day, Vietnam will suffer the same misfortune.
Khmer Krom people must not loose sight of true independence from Vietnam! The communist Vietnamese government never gives a fuck about Khmer Krom people economic well being besides stealing land from the Khmer Krom people and gives it the Vietnamese population and disenfranchising Khmer Krom people through political process!
Khmer Krom people heard all the broken promises before from the communist Vietnamese government and there is no point for the Vietnamese government to lie any longer and the communist Vietnamese government must respect the right to self-determination of the Khmer Krom people!
Vietnam will always promote serious religion practice. What they don't like is contaminated religion practice.

When 1Dong is given, it usually ending up as 100Dong written. Anyway, they need to pour more money in this way (with no string) to repay the rent (300 years, 21 provinces, environmental and humanity violations). This is only 1-squillionth percent of the original loan, what about the 300 years interest?
