Photos from Phnom Troap: Injured Khmer soldier TECK MIENG; Khmer soldier defending border BAREFEET

Teck Mieng (C), a Cambodian soldier injured during a clash with Thai soldiers, is seen at Phnom Trop mountain near the Thai border in Preah Vihear province, 543 km (337 miles) north of Phnom Penh, near the disputed 900-year-old Preah Vihear temple, October 4, 2008. Cambodia protested to Thailand on Saturday about a border shooting incident in which three solders were wounded and said in a letter to the Thai ambassador that such "intentional armed provocation" could lead to conflict. Two Thai soldiers and one Cambodian soldier were injured in what was the first clash in the disputed territory near the Preah Vihear temple since the two countries agreed to pull back in August after a serious confrontation. To The Former KR Soldiers: You did wrong in the past, now it's time to do right.

My families are all behind our troops. I'll be there in Preah Vihear sometime in December or in January of 2008.

Yes, I wish all solider well especilly the wounded brother. We all support you and are profoundly proud of you.

On the hand, this is a message to A Hun Sen. Please do not do anything bad to all brothers of mine there. Because I've heard that you, A kwark has issued an order "whoever open fire will be jailed". Brother Teak Meng and his squad did not trigger first but to defend the country, the people and themselves after the death-sentenced Thai solider shot at them.

A person who knows the laws would have said that. Military court would charge indiscipline soldiers, not Hun Sen. Are sure that the only order he said? Maybe, whoever open first FIRST ... ? Without "first", Hun Sen has no respect at all on other Khmer's lives. This is not a game which you get shot, but still alive. Self-defense as well as territory's defense is always necessary.

Nope, border are unnecessary between Khmers and their friends.

so true. Border are not necessary between friends. Vietnam and China don't need border, neither does Burma and Thailand! Lets' all grab each other by the neck and greet!
