PM discuss Preah Vihear dispute at Army HQ

(BangkokPost.com) - Prime Minister and Defence Minister Somchai Wongsawat together with his entourage left the parliament and arrived at the Royal Thai Army Headquarters via a helicopter at around 3.10pm Tuesday.

The premier planned to discuss the disputed border around the ancient temple of Preah Vihear between Thailand and Cambodia with relevant units, including the Supreme Commander, Gen Songkitti Jaggabatara, the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, Gen Anupong Paochinda, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Sompong Amornvivat.

It is expected that the top government and army officials would discuss the current political situation in the country after the police fired tear gas at the anti-government group in front of the parliament on Tuesday morning.

Mr Somchai is scheduled to visit Cambodia on October 13.

So the military makes decisions on border issue? Not the Thai government?

Thailand is a junta run country.
It just the stupid Thai people are so drunk with their fake democracy and bias history books.

Bhumibol, Somchai, Abishit and the PAD are all puppets of the military commanders.

You know what they say ignorant people are happy and make a lot of children.

That is making sense. No wonder the previous PM can't do anything. Thats why Hun Sen said is the rangers, armies of Thailand under government control or what? If not we Khmer will kill them if they bandits.

Thai is a flip flopper.

Khmer will slaughter them from day one if they want war.

Khmer Amatak,
