BANGKOK, Oct 16 (TNA) – Thailand called on Cambodia to use bilateral forums to resolve the border dispute and reaffirmed that Thailand is committed to using peaceful means to solve the border dispute, Foreign Ministry spokesman Tharit Charungvat said Thursday.
Responding to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's urging that Thailand and Cambodia exercise utmost restraint and that the two countries expedite bilateral talks so their differences can be resolved peacefully, Mr. Tharit said Thailand was committed to restraint and bilateral negotiations to solve the border dispute when Cambodia brought the issue to multilateral forums, ASEAN and the United Nations Security Council in July.
Mr. Tharit, Director-General of the Department of Information, added that Thailand maintained its stance to resolve differences at bilateral talks.
"When the economic problem is doomed, why do we have to waste money and our personnel on that issue. It's non-sense to exercise power to end row. We reaffirm again and again that we exercise restraint and finally the two sides have to return to peaceful negotiations. Please do not use provocation." he said.
Thailand won't start the fight and will use only the same level of weaponry to return the fight to avoid further violence and worsen the situation, even the kingdom has more advanced armaments, he said.

Did anyone hear of the voice from the secretary general of the UN, he is not keen to deal with this issue, Cambodian government had submitted bfore the fighting, but was refused by the UN. UN sees the issue is too small to draw the attention of the UN secury council. Why the government choose to go to war, because that is inevitable. The only common strategy is to escallate the conflict to make it big enough to the international news, so that they will come to look at the problem.
Through the attempts of invading from Thais to our territory, we can see that Thais won leave unless they get the diputed area. Thus, Bilateral talk is not meaningless. Only war or international Course of Justice can be resolution.

The fucken problem is that some of the armaments need major repair or some don't even work at all! Let take an F-16 jet fighter as an example, it has certain of hours of flying before major repair and the need for spare parts to fix it which could cost in the million depend on how many F-16 they have! I am in the US right now but as soon as the war starts, I am gonna stop my college studying and go back to Cambodia and join the fight. I could be killed easily for having no experience in combat but we have to sacrifice. We Khmer have less of everything than Thai but one thing that we have sufficient enough is the love for our country. We Khmer may die a lot more than Thai but we have to show Thai what Khmer heart is about. If the war breaks out and we have to die, we cannot stop fighting. Many of us will die but the remaining alive have to keep the fighting going and destroy Thailand. Take the fight to Bangkok. If Khmer will have to die as a nation, we will destroy Thai to do it so the arrogant prick won't be around to fuck around with other people again.

Cambodia needs to invest more in military technology. Educate its people to innovate and produce weapons that can defend itself from aggressors. Build our economy, then build our military.
Last month, a deputy secretary of the US visited Cambodia, and tell the Cambodian government not to bring the disput to the UN and other international community. He also gave the KR tribunal about US1 million ( though the German gave more than 4 million). Cambodian government found no choice to go for this fighting even though they recognize their weak military force. The only hope is to wake up the international attention, and press down the manipulation of the Thai king in Thail politic.
Thai army is not under the control of the government but the king. The king is exerting his inffluence on the army in order to bring down the incumbent Thai government which is a proxy of Thaksin who is also his business competitor.

The Thai opposition including the king want the war that as they can have much to blaim the government and may eventually bring them off the seat too. Foreign Ministry to forward landmine case to UN
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is gathering more information about the PMN2 landmine that two Thai troops stepped on at the disputed Thai-Cambodian border on October 3 before forwarding it to the United Nations (UN) for inspection under the Ottawa Convention.
Thailand believed that the Russian-made landmine belonged to Cambodia and was recently planted in the Thai territory.
The PMN2 landmine case would not exacerbate the border tension between the two countries, Foreign Ministry spokesman Tharit Charungvat reiterated.
