Si Sa Ket ready to evacuate, if troops clash
(BangkokPost.com) - The northeastern border province of Si Sa Ket is ready to quickly evacuate people in Kantharalak district, should another round of armed clashes between the Thai and Cambodian troops erupt along the disputed border area, according to Si Sa Ket governor Maitri Inthusut.
However, the governor said the overall morale of villagers in Kantharalak is normal and they are still confident in the stringent security measures provided by the local police and administrative officials.
Si Sa Ket Chamber of Commerce chairman Sriwan Kiatsuranond said marketplaces along the Thai-Cambodian border in Kantharalak district have reopened on Sunday, after they were closed following the deadly gunfight last Wednesday.
Mr Sriwan called for the Thai government to organise clear market venues, so Thailand would benefit from the Thai-Cambodian trading.
Meanwhile, the Second Army commander, Lt-Gen Wiboonsak Neeparn, and Cambodia’s Fourth Army chief, Gen Chea Mon, will resume talks to find peaceful means to resolve the border row in Siem Reap on Tuesday.
In the previous meeting in Si Sa Ket last week, both sides agreed to conduct joint patrols, but their troops would remain at the disputed border.

thailand had for a long time used clever tactics against cambodia, perhaps, it is cambodia's turn as god is punishing thailand for their cruel and bad intention toward cambodia. remember cambodia can learn, even from our bitter enemies. what goes around comes around!!!
