Leaders from the five south-east Asian countries irrigated by the Mekong river met in the Vietnamese capital Hanoi on Friday. The Prime Ministers of Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam held a summit of the Acmecs forum. The forum takes its name from the area's three main rivers, the Mekong, the Ayeyawady and the Chao Phraya.

Vietnam's Premier Nguyen Tan Dung, opening the meeting, called for the strengthening of transport, trade and investment links between the five states.

Pham Quang Minh of Hanoi's School for Social Sciences says the presence of two superpowers in the region, Japan and China, means that the south-east Asian countries must tread carefully.

"Because both of them [China and Japan] would like to have an influence on south-east Asian countries ... the problem for south-east asian countries is to balance between them", he said.

Apart from Thailand, the Mekong countries are among Asia's poorest, despite an Asian Development Bank programme that aims to improve infrastructure through transnational highways and bridges across the Mekong.

Thailand's Foreign Minister, Sompong Amornvivat, said on Thursday that the country would contribute to financing a third bridge across the Mekong to Laos.

Thai Premier Somchai Wongsawat said tourism was one of the areas in which joint initiatives had already been successful. One of the initiatives the five countries are working on is a "Five Nations, One Destination" plan.

The asean is politically and economically ineffective, then let us build another block until the asean shows its efficiency.

This strategy of alliance for the economic development and the preservation of the peace for all the countries of the region of the mékong introduced by Vietnam does not leave indifferent the other countries and has to let reflect Thailande more particularly.

This initiative is the political signal clearly given to the thailande that the war as the means to solve the internal politics problem is not acceptable any more today.

For the strategic regional balance, The thailande has to expect the intervention of the third party in the Khmer / thais armed conflict, if there is a war.
The military aggression of a country against a member of the region of the mékong, it is the aggression against the peace and the development of all the region of the mékong.

Other countries of the region have the duty to intervene militarily for to save the peace and the development of all the region of the mékong.

With the current world financial crisis because of the bankruptcy of the American and European banks and their public deficits because their colossal debts, it required for the countries of the mékong's region to build a regional economic block autonomous and less dependent on American and European economics which allow these countries to have a stability, a dynamism and one economic growthes autonomous which allow their population to have a full employment when the Americain or Europe is in economic crisis.

It is necessary to take conscious that , the South Asia is cannot always count for their future on the US or Europe.

Because simply, the concern and the economic and political interests can be very different and even contradictory.

This initiative also shows that the boycott which strikes Burma is in not in the interests of the countries the mékong's region and humanely this boycott is profoundly inequitable in this context of world economic crisis because the US's and Europe's financial bankruptcy.

You should not forget that The World Bank and the IMF are really only tools in the service of the imperialist economic and political interests of countries rich in Europe and USA.

And the UNO is too big and too much complicated to put on.

Asia has to stay in the Asian.
Indochina has to stay in the Indo-Chineses.

The US's and the European's impéralisme and colonialism go home!

Why the Indo-Chinese peoples have to support and to bear without reacting the consequences of the financial bankruptcy of the US and the European?

Are the Indo-Chinese peoples incapable to build another economic and military system capable to assure their own future?
What the European and the Americans can build in economic, military subjects, we, Asian we can be also capable to make it!
It is necessary to dare, to try, and to advance!
Who can take charge better of interests of the Asian than the Asian People?

The countries of the mékong's region have to form a block to be a valid negotiator and respected in all the economic and military negotiations with Europe and the Americans and the other countries of the world.

In the world today, a small ,and poor, single country, can nothing in front of country bigger, more powerful than him.

The American superpower bases today only on their nuclear weapons.

Economically, the USA are exceeded by Japan and soon by China and by India.

That is why, the USA look by all the means to prevent the other countries from being equipped for nuclear weapons.
When the other countries succeed in being equipped with nuclear weapons, it is finished by the great American power in the world.

The true threat for the world peace is not the proliferation of nuclear weapons, but the imperialism US and its hegemonic and its unilateralism conception of the world.

China and Russia no representent no threat for the world peace.
It is American strategic missiles displayed in the Eastern Europe within the framework of the NATO that are a true threat for the world peace. Because this kind of initiative boosts the arms race and the cold war.

My Khmer compatriots dearest,

There can be no dreams, no theories, no suppositions, no comparisons or nothing whatsoever until we can rid of the Viet domination in Cambodia.

As long as there is Viet, there will be no Cambodia. The Viet will never ever let Cambodia be free from the Federation of Indochina which Khmer will be ultimately Vietnamized from head to toe( to the backbone).

[Le Vietnam ne nous laisse jamais tranquille et independemment de la Federation de l'Indochine. Khmer sera alors vietnamise de la tete aux pieds ]

The Mekong group or the ASEAN group is nothing more than little asian brothers who still have to behave according to the Chinese or the US dictates. These guys are mostly corrupt and trying to hang on to power. They can unite only when each one of them first learn to trust one another when not in front of a camera.
