Thai troops stationed in front of Cambodian troops have pulled out gradually without making too much noise since 01 November.
Thai troops use a strategy to reduce their soldiers gradually from each unit. On certain days, 10 Thai soldiers would be removed, whereas on others only 5 were being pulled out. In the past, there were more than 100 Thai troops stationed in front of the Prasat market, near Preah Vihear temple, but now only about 40 of them are left.
General Srey Doek told Kampuchea Thmei that Thai troops indeed pulled out, but that this occurred only on their frontline, and Cambodia cannot perform a review into the case, because it is outside of Cambodian authority.
General Srey Doek indicated that Thai troops stationed in front of the ancient staircase located to the north of the temple, have been gradually reduced in the past 3-4 days.
He also indicated that Thai troop commanders have informed him that they will reduce the troops to release the tension in the frontline between the two countries from now on.
A Military Police (MP) officer stationed at Preah Vihear temple said that Thai troops have reduced their number from the frontline gradually because these soldiers are sent for reinforcement in Bangkok. The MP made this claim because a Thai soldier told Cambodian soldiers that Thai troops were pulled out from the Preah Vihear temple frontline because the political situation in Bangkok is getting worse. This Thai soldier indicated also that Thai political problem could face major emergency issue in the future because of opposition movements against the Thai king are protesting almost everywhere, therefore, Thai troops were ordered to be on high alert in the near future.
As for the 20 Thai soldiers who are supposed to be stationed outside Wat Keo Sekha Kiri Svarak pagoda, they are nowhere to be seen, they have vacated the area and only empty tents remain. However, these 20 Thai soldiers asked Cambodian commander to tell their Thai commander who would ask about their whereabout, to let their commander know that they remain there constantly, but in reality, when their commander leave, these Thai soldiers also leave the area.
For the 10 Thai soldiers stationed inside Wat Keo Sekha Kiri Svarak pagoda, they have not been pulled out yet, but they have gathered their guns and grenades into a pile, and they do not carry anything on them. They also hold cordial talks with Cambodian soldiers. These 10 soldiers have no worry at all inside the pagoda, after eating their meals, they would take a nap, and when they wake up, they play cards.

They know all long that they are the one who created and started this brief conflict. If it was actually the Cambodian who started it they wouldn't pull back…..to pull back too swiftly is too much of loosing face so they do this secretly. They are playing game and testing Cambodia's willingness and determination to defend its territories. This is not the end. I hope the Cambodian government won't scale down the defence budget. Cambodia must prepare for war and this type of aggressions and bullies from its neighbours in the future.

Is this the time for Bangkok to be blown to pieces?
Do not easily believ Thai. They pull out then they return back more. Let keep and see what happen next.
Perhaps it's time for them to stop the nonsense.. The Thais should go back and heal their internal problems rather than wasting time messing around with Cambodia. They should know deep inside that Cambodian would not do any harm to them if they didn't start it first.
Ah monkeys from Cambodia should stop trying to steal lands and temples from Khmer people who lives in the neighboring countries.
Dear All,
THE CAMBODIAN GOVERNMENT MUST BE CAREFULL IN SUCH AN IMPORTANT MEETING WITH THE THAIS.
ACTUALLY, THERE IS NO NEED TO TALK MUCH WITH THE THAIS, AS THAT DISPUTE WAS ALREADY SETTLED ONCE FOR ALL IN 1962 BY THE INTERNATIOANL COURT OF JUSTICE (ICJ).
THE IMPORTANT THING IS THAT THE THAIS MUST OBEY THE ICJ'S ORDER, AND THEN THERE IS NO DEPUTE.
PRIME MINISTER HUN SEN,
YOU MUST TAKE YOUR WIN-WIN STRATEGY IN THIS CASE, NO MATTER HOW TRICKY THE THAIS ARE.
DO NOT (NOT) MAKE ANY LAND CONCESSION LIKE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO VIETNAM.
IT IS TIME YOU SHOW YOUR REAL KHMER'S SPIRIT.
YOU MUST BE A STR0NG MAN BY SPIRIT, NOT ONLY BY NAME.
Let's look at a small piece of fact, and find out who is the invader.
The Cambodian ownership of the temple and the surrounding areas, deemed disputed by Thailand, has been settled once and for all by The International Court of Justice (ICJ)’s verdict. And that verdict has vindicated the Cambodian claims and render justice to the 1907 treaty. The court adjudicated that:
1. "the Temple of Preah Vihear is situated in territory under the sovereignty of Cambodia;"
2. "Thailand is under an obligation to withdraw any military or police forces, or other guards or keepers, stationed by her at the Temple, or in its vicinity on Cambodian territory"
3. "Thailand is under an obligation to restore to Cambodia any objects of the kind specified in Cambodia's fifth Submission which may, since the date of the occupation of the Temple by Thailand in 1954, have been removed from the Temple or the Temple area by the Thai authorities.": ICJ Reports 1962, p. 36, 37.
The second judgement of the court was crystal clear that Thailand is under the obligation to withdraw all its forces from the temple or from “its vicinity on Cambodian territory”. As the court’s judgements were based on the maps of the 1904 and 1907 treaties, the issue of the ownership of the temple and “its vicinity” has been resolved, as the maps of the 1904-1907 treaties placed both the temple and “its vicinity” inside Cambodia.
Thailand has long claimed that Franco-Siam treaty of 1904-1907 has always been in favour of Cambodia to the detriment of Thailand’s territorial integrity. The same was said by Cambodia, as evident by king Sisowath’s letter of protest to the French Governor in 1906. King Sisowath demanded the return of all Khmer provinces occupied by Siam by which he said “We insist on the former natural limits of the Khmer Kingdom which, prior to the Siamese invasion, included on Siam’s side the provinces of Battambang, Siem Reap, Stung Treng, Tonle Ropov, M’lou Prey, Kuckhan [currently known as Sisaket], Prey Sar, Soren [Surin], Sankeac [Sangka], Neang Rong, Nokoreach Seima (Korat), beyond the Phnom Dangrek Mountain, Koh Kong, Krat and Chantabor (Chantaboun [Chantaburi]) touching upon Bacnam and the Kingdom of Champassac (Passac). All these provinces are still populated by Cambodians and they preserve their absolute Khmer patriotism.”

Son of a whore!
2:54PM, I agree. This 1:43PM extremist Siamese is really shit-head. However, good to have them joining here; come more; you're really welcome.
As a good intent for you brainless Siamese, you all should be aware that your disrespectful extreme ruler is stirring things up and making problems with both your own people internally and with neibouring states. Get rid of him and you'll leave peacefully and harmoniously with your own nationals and your neibours.
Oh shut the fuck up, fakes!
Khmers in Thailand are the real Khmer. It's take to return Cambodia back to us, motherfuckers!

And bring all the provinces to rejoin back the motherland.

Khmer PP,
Thai troops withdrawal is only to disguise from the UN visit on the Nov 7th.
My brother 6:37 PM, yes you are real Khmer and I will not fault you for you to feel that way about us because we are brother. It is my regret that you have limited knowledge of your history due to your poor up bringing and lacking of education. However, I realize that there are a lot of educate Khmer living in Thailand that may able to shed some light on you; therefore, please seek for assistance quickly.
Khmer will always love you it does not matter where you live and you will always our brother.
Khmer in US
If there are Khmers in Thailand; that means the land is Khmers. In fact, it was Khmer's. Only the Khmer people know how it feels to have lost the land and their Khmer brothers and sisters to the aggressor neighbors; and at the same time they are continuing their expansion policy encroaching on Khmer borderland. Cambodians have every rights in defending itself from the aggressors.
it seems like everything about the thai action is shrouded in secrecy as if they are hiding something fishy beneath their skin. it's like hiding a dead elephant- a khmer saying.
