On Saturday morning, the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology issued a weather alert bulletin. The ministry warned about strong winds which started since Friday. The wind gusts are also accompanied by a drop in temperature. Yesterday, the minimum temperature varies between 17 and 21 degrees Celsius. For Saturday and Sunday, the northeast wind will bring cold weather. Storms are also expected along the coastal areas and also in the provinces of Svay Rieng, Prey Veng, Kandal, Kampong Speu, Battambang and Siem Reap. Due to security concerns, the ministry asks the population to be cautious during their travels.
