Lao Mong Hay,

I read one of your article suggesting that the AIDS epidemic in Cambodia would have occurred without UNTAC. You said that HIV existed in Cambodia before UNTAC arrived.

That may be true, but without UNTAC the epidemic would have not been as severe as it has been. Surely, as a Ph.D. you understand the difference between a 2.6% HIV prevalence and a 0.2% prevalence which would be the case with UNTAC troops?

The truth is, more than 140,000 Khmers have died from AIDS and hundreds of thousands more will die from the disease.
