Phnom Penh - A Chinese national was arrested and charged with kidnapping and terrorism offences in Cambodia, national media reported Monday.
Police on Sunday arrested Hour Ming, 33, after he allegedly held hostage Seang Youhour, 34, for 13 hours in his house in the capital Phnom Penh and threatened to set off a bomb if officers tried to raid the building, The Phnom Penh Post reported.
The man slashed the victim's face with a knife and stabbed himself in the chest as police raided the house early Sunday morning, officials said.
Police said the suspect and the victim were being treated in a Phnom Penh hospital.

Cambodian police needs to learn what is the real meaning of terrorism. This chinese man has committed a crime with kidnapping and killings other for his own motive. Terrorism is an act against a government or a group by harming innocence lives for a motive of their group interest. Example: Talibane group has committed terrorist act for their belief in extrem muslim ideas. Hok Lundy has committed a terrorist act in 1997 against SRP party for his CPP party.
But this idiot chinese man has committed a crime by slashing the face of his victims for moneys or for personal revenge of himself.
The same as Hok Lundy has committed a crime by killing Kim sambo for his revenge in the New papers.

I agree with you on that. This man simply terrorized a woman and then threatening the officer's that he has a bomb. For all we know; this could be a relationship issues.
The police dubed this incident as a terrorism is totally absurd.
In order to qualify as a terrorist act; a person must attempt or carried out an act of intimidation that would cause harms to a " group" of people or government officials.
The police need to define the definitions of terrorism be labeling their suspect.
Sounded like a couple who couldn't agree on one another.
