1- The current cancer is my third one (lymphoma B). My eminent PRC doctors, who succeeded in curing my previous two very serious cancers, told me that the current one (this third cancer) is localized in one portion of my body and this allows for simpler and easier care. In this regard, they are “optimist” (sic!).
2- My only sadness is the fact that I am thinking so much about the “Small Khmer People” who (partly at least) remain so faithful to me and who love me.
3- Because of my new cancer, as a tribute to the Sihanoukists who love my “Royal Singing” and short films, and based on the requests made by some of these Sihanoukists, I accept that TVK (on every Monday evening, following the broadcast of national and international “News” and … the weather report) broadcasts one “Royal Singing”, a short film by H.R.H. Samdech Buppha Devi based on my music, the “Andromak” film (to be completed at my own cost, and in the care of Samdach Kong Som Ol and H.E. Senator [Ieu] Pannaker).
Because of my cancer, my stay away from the Motherland and our beloved People must be prolonged through the generous and so benevolent PRC.
Because of N. Sihanouk’s distance, “my” short films will be broadcasted on TVK, every Monday evening, as a testimonial of my faithful thought to the beloved Compatriots.

Khmers are not lucky people, because they have had a useless, and crazy king as a leader. The king never pays his attention to make the country with prosperity, or poverty reduction. He always cheat his people, by giving a small amount of rice, Sarong, Krama.
He was a power king while he was 19years old, he had no ability to lead the country. He did not serve people, but he serve (doctrine) communism, under Chinese's supervision. He knew nothing about the doctrine (he is stupid), he just copied the theory and passed.

I do agree with you Sir (5:06PM). Everyone can make mistake, both you and I. But Sihanouk made countless mistak. One thing made me disapointed today, Sihnouk has been escape away from Khmer Rouge Court. khmer inside and outside of Cambodia today,both young and old, they know who is he. Feel sorry for yourself? quit now or you'll die worthless to yourself and the country. Never too late to do anything useful to your homeland, never. It's already a start that you can come here or anywhere else to write something about it. Learning to know about the reality of your homeland is already a step in the right direction. Sihanouk had been put up on the throne by the French and the Viet. Sihanouk had been molded and indoctrinated to serve the Viet since day one (remember he was educated in Vietnam by the French and the Viet). Sihanouk could never get out of the Viet's grip. Sihanouk's entourage and elites were mostly of Chnese and Viet decents (look at the last name of all of those) that care very little about Cambodia and Sihanouk himself did almost nothing to promote or foster patriotism. Despite some accomplishments here and there, Sihanouk entertained himself almost constantly by making movies, singing, being a casanova...getting himself deeper and deeper to the false sense of peace and prosperity for the country going so far as to call Cambodia "OASIS" or "koah santepheap" in Khmer and "l'ile de paix" in French while the Viet were fighting for their unification. Only a very few had benefited from this same fake peace time. Sihanouk would do anything for his hunger for power and to remain "King Father" (Samdech Beida in Khmer) of Cambodia. He joined the Khmer Rouge when removed by those that began to see the reality about Cambodia thereby leading Cambodia to the Killing Fields. To this day, Siahnouk still sides with Vietnam along side with this ex- pagoda thug and Viet-communist-educated Khmer Rouge known as HUN SEN....What does it leave Cambodia (Khmer)? Khmer does not need a revolution for their survival just wake up and learn the reality about Siahnouk and Cambodia and moving forward from there....

it goes to show that culture and tradition like most habits are hard to break or change overnight. remember the KR regime tried to change khmer culture and tradition overnight, that's partly blamed for the reason they killed so many people as well. people need to understand that tradition and culture are not easy to change overnight. sometimes, these traits will take generations if not years to change. that said, it's not impossible to do as people have brain to learn to new things and adapt to new ways, etc... it just takes times, though. be patient and supportive is all one can do to help affilitate that slow process!
