VNA (Hanoi)
VietNamNet Bridge - A performance by artists from the Vietnam Music, Dance and Song Theatre and the Vietnam Circus Federation on November 28 commenced a week-long festival on Vietnamese culture in Phnom Penh.
The opening ceremony of the Vietnamese Culture Festival 2008 was attended by Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Chien Thang, Cambodian Minister of Culture and Art Him Chhem and other guests from both countries.
The festival, the second of its kind in Cambodia, shows the friendship and solidarity between the two countries and their people. The event is also an opportunity for Cambodian people to understand more about Vietnam’s renovation process and its economic achievements.
During the festival, the two sides will exchange experience in art and culture development in each country.

How many bitches are allow to participate to the ceremony ?
PM Hun Sen and CPP officals,
There is a way, a real possibility for you and your government to get out of VN’s grip. China has a vital interest to see that Cambodia does not become a state of Indochina Federation. Khmers at home and abroad will support your move to strengthen our long standing and good relaltionship with China, and get rid of the VN’s domination.
All my fellow Khmers, instead of insulting or pointing finger at each other, let’s do something good for our country. Send emails, or write letters, or post your comments to Chinese embassy, chinese blogs, or chinese government websites asking for help. China will come to our rescue, but we all have to keep asking. Some Khmers already started taking that initiatives on behaf of CPP, and the Chinese government is responding to our cause. CPP officials can not openly go to ask China to protect Cambodia because there are VN secret agents everywhere. These agents will not hesitate to kill or jail any CPP officials looking for a new boss. Remember what the yuons did to Chan Si and Penn Sovan. But these yuon killers can do nothing to us, bloggers. There are just too many of us and we are every where in the world. Let use our strength, courage and wisdom and power of internet to free our beloved country from the VN. We will succeed!

Thank you 12:57 am / khmer blood
Keep up the good work
Just throw a grenade in into the pointed hats crowd and they will be running like dogs back to their hole (Hanoi).
khmer krom need to declare independence from vietnam!
Khmer Blood-
I think Cambodia is already courting China, but Hun Sen has to be very careful. He's walking very thin line and is only doing what the Viets can tolerate.
I agree that Cambodia should seek closer alliance with China. However, I think most Khmer, inside and especially abroad, want our country to side with West. But this is just wishful thinking. The West, including America, is blowing hot air because we have no value to their national interests. The Chinese have a lot more stake in our country. America does not need Cambodia to fight its wars anymore; we're just garbage to them.
I hope Khmer people will join forces and seek true independence and sovereignty from all foreigners, the East or the West. But a small country, we must play our cards right. Our Ace is China not USA.
Oh !shit the Viet invasion is in progress.well, ah khmer khnong srok must learn Vietnamese or else.Your head for boiling tea for the master is sooner than expect(dam tai ong ).Puthor arahaing.
More yuon illiterate leaders will join Ho Lung Doc.
Like the siem, ah yuon will go down.
The future is so uncertain.
Real Khmer must keep this in mind, this is how Viet did to Cham. dtok dtok penh oum pong.
3:30am! you are wrong.
Cambodia is a prime strategic importance for America.Uncle Sam does need a port for naval base for its seven fleet in S.E Asia to counter Chinese influence in the future, and our sea coast in REAM or kompong som are ideal because these two places are called calm sea. We can lease the place to the U.S govt or the U.S navy.Imagine,if my wishful thinking were becoming a reality, thousand of job will be created ,moreover the relation between my motherland and my adopted country will be closer than ever.We don't need communist motherfucker CHINA anymore ,the country which had a history of helping Khmer rouge to annihilate us before.
ah Yuon show off to khmer city now and the rest at the farm ior countrywide are under controling by yuon net work ,we need no less over for cambodian sadness our story but all stance together we can .
I wonder why Professor Penh Panha doesn't lecture us on this article. I guest he is too busy to celebrate his culture festival at this moment.
Have a good festive day Ah KarnTorp.

3:30AM and 5:46AM – thank you both for your intuitive and informative comments.
This is the kind of discussion that we need to engage in order to move our country forward.
It is obvious that the government officials have to walk a very tight rope, otherwise they will have similar fate to Chansi and Pen Sovann. But we, the public, don`t. We can help to speed up the Chinese intervention again Vietnamization in Cambodia. We can be friendly to both USA and China. Cambodia can be a good ally to USA in term of fighting international terrorism. Furthermore, America prefers to see Cambodia remain independent, because its bitter memory with Vietnam. The bigger Vietnam, the bigger the threat to America allies in the region in the future. As to China, she has more compelling reasons than America to prevent Cambodia from becoming part of Vietnam. 5:46AM, you`re right when you said Uncle Sam does need a port for naval base for its seven fleet in S.E Asia to counter Chinese influence in the future. But the way I see it is that America will negotiate with China, and agree with China`s policy toward Cambodia to obtain concession from China on other issues. The wind is in our favour. We must act now. We can be friendly to China without alienating USA.

5:46 AM, for me I don't trust the Americans. Of course our history teaches that we should not rely on a foreigner. Samdech Chuon Nat's poem (in the Khmer dictionary written by him) also confirmed that.
However, if it is really inevitable that we have to side one between the two, I would agree with Khmer Blood and 3:30AM. China is (1)nearer, (2)against the Yuons, (3) more willing to intervene...
Anyway, sincerely and wholeheartedly thank you guys for your patriotism.
Raja
Happy Viet culture day to all Yuon Cambodia's friend.
Speak for yourself you freaking Viet idiot 9:49AM!
9:28am! To understand American you have to think America as a whole. American elected their leader to represent them.We have a system of govt of check and balance so no other branch of govt will dominate the others. It is the govt of the people,by the people and for the people and also known as Western Democracy. In all it's the majority who rule.
Ok,now you said the poem written by samdech CHUON NAT confirmed what you believe .I myself admired somdech also, but chuon nat never has been in the U.S.He may be bright in literature but in the real world he had so little.I can say for sure that, had he been visiting the United States ,his stand on the U.S will absolutely changed.
Now on CHINA .Do you remember in late 70th or early 80th,China invaded Vietnam and was defeated soundly at the hand of the Vietnamese in just 3 weeks.United States may be too far from Cambodia but its hand can reach anywhere in the globe.Do you know the whole world has been mapped out almost every inch by our space shuttles these past years. In the future war ,there will be a unmanned planes that do the fighting. The U.S will be the superpower forever no matter what anybody said. What Cambodia should do is strive to be a real democracy then the United States and its allied will be our backbone for good. We don't need communist China ,the country that still oppress its people and allowed only one party to rule that's communist rule.No "no" but "yes " only.I believe anger is already build up among its people and some day they will explode.
10:50AM – if I may make a comment here. China was not defeated at the hand of the Vietnamese troops. Au contraire Chinese troops were advancing to Ho Chi Minh city. (Note that the Chinese did suffer a high number of casualties by Western standard. But for China, a nation of 1 billion people, that number of casualties is neglegible).
Before attacking Vietnam in 1979, Chinese delegation led by Deng Xiao Ping visited USA to discussed the Cambodia situation and got the endorsement from USA. As its troops were advancing to Ho Chi Minh city, China was advised by the CIA to retreat because the Soviet was mobilizing its naval force, and Uncle Sam did not want to see the war escalated. When it came to Vietnam, both USA and China had learned their bitter lessons – never trust the Yuons. At the peak of Vietnam war, Henry Kissinger made an official visit to China during which he advised Chinese Premier Chou Eng Lay to stop supporting the North Vietnam and Vietcongs. Kissinger told Premier Chou that one day the Yuons would turn against China and China would pay a price for the Yuon ingratitude. That exactly happened after the war ended 1975.
China and USA can never trust the Yuon race, that’s why they will coorperate with each other to prevent Vietnam from annexing Cambodia. Because of its proximity, China will take the lead in Cambodia affair…
This is our chance to save our beloved country. It does not matter if it is USA or China that will save us. I truly believe China has long term interest in Cambodia and Uncle Sam understands that this is China “neigborhood”
From the Vietnamese perspective, VN knows China is more committed and determined to Cambodia than Uncle Sam. The Vietnameses are not to worry about Uncle Sam because they rightly know that Uncle Sam will bow to the pressure from American people to quit the fighting/war as their number of caulties increase. This would not be the case for China. You know Asian arrogan mentality, they prefer to pay the price rather than losing face.

Thank you brothers 12:57AM - 3:30AM and 7:54AM.
All of your comments are right,we have to do some thing before it is too late.Vn starting to show their black teeth the first time in our capital city.I knew it must have some things come up in the near future because vn invites many cpp official government to visit hanoi to strengthen the tie after its right hand hoc long dy's death.Vn wants to speed up its territorial expansion by using the culture exchange as its veil because vn know that most of cpp official in Cambodia are vn'spies to keep their eyes on alert to protect the festival.Vn know that Hun Sen and many others are not happy in this viet's influence festival but Hun Sen must except it to vn's will, and another reason, vn knows that the world are in economic crisis, each country is busy for itself no country look beyon the border that why vn want to speed up to dominate Cambodia.
U.S has not much interest about Cambodia ,despite the U.S knew that the genocides in Pol Pot's regime was prepared and committed by thousands of Hanoi's spy who can escaped from the bombing inside Cambodia border in vietnam war,United States give no sign of the fact, and did not solve any thing for Cambodia, even now Cambodia is running by those viet's spies, the U.S still support this fake government.
I agree with all comments that each of us have to write letter to China to help and to stop vietnam's peacefully expansion on Cambodia, but for the time being we have to act some things to stop them also, maybe it is possible because hoc long dy can not protect them no more.
KPP
Thank to all Viets for helping Cambodia to grow.
Keep up the good work, and may God blesses you.
This is the first time that VN shows its effort to Vietnamize Cambodia. Vietnamese culture rally in Phnom Penh...sound so weird for VN's aggressive domination over Cambodia.
But all these will rely on CPP to take responsibility...
CPP's members have to wake up that China is your option, and only you that can escape from VN's aggressiveness on Cambodia.
Excellent, now there is some hope for Cambodia.
Good, now let's go fuck more Viet women/girls to jack up Khmer population!!!
Hope you got plenty lands for your entertainment because it ain't free.
If Hun Sen and cronies can do it, how hard can that be. Let's go for the broke eh, 2:02AM? And 2:02AM - it's not an entertainment, this is serious business because we are talking about knocking up Viet/Yuon women to boost up Khmer population...
Hun Sen got moneys while many doesn't. This game is for kings and the riches only, not for losers.
losers? All yuon/Viet gals/women love to be fucked by Khmer men/kids cuz that's one way to have more Yuon/Viet kids in Cambodia. Don't ya all know that. Tha's one of the Viet/Yuon policy.
Get fucked and produced more to take over...got it?
