I thinK Khieu Kanharith love these pictures not because he understand the meaning of ART , but hecause he is a nototious Playboy and a drinker.

And why pick and so mad against this simple art show. Does the yuons are so scared that Khmer wonderful art is being known and appreciated.
So, that means REAHU is transfer Cambodian CUlture to be Yuon alike culture.
Prostitution is an old human business even before Buddha. It was born from a social injustice.
I don't advocate the prostitution. I don't agree with some people with prejudice who said that prostitution has beeen exported from Vietnam. It 's true in there are many more Vietnamese prostitutes than Cambodian prostitutes, because Vietnam with its 85 Million people is more populous than Cambodia.
The number of Cambodian prostitutes has been incresed because of the increasing poverty, caused by social injustice such as Corruption, land grabbing.....
Prostitution will decrease when People living condition get better. This needs a competent and non Corrupt government with a clear vision and a real political committment.

If this is art for Khmer people, it's okay. But putting it on the internet might attract white men to come to Cambodia to prey on Khmer women and children. So there is potential harm in this kind of work. I support free speech and don't think the site should be taken down, but I think Khmer people have the right to voice objection over this potentially dangerous material. There are already a lot of Western men preying on our women and children. So, I encourage everyone to exercise the best judgement and protect our culture and heritage, because there are are lot of Khmer people who want to invite white men to exploit our women and children.

I barely can understand the logics of yuon products, its reason and how it can understand and views things around it so leave out abstract which things out of its reach.
Art of reahu is simply so wonderful. Even as a woman, I appreciate so much his art and talent because as Khmer we can identify to that art. My request is, he should not undress too much certain of his personages. Should aware of between vulgarity and sensual search! Women look much more sexy and beautiful while she stays between sensuality and mystery, light dress, sexy, sensual and elegant, not in vulgarity. I see that artist knows how to appreciate woman and her beauty. It is indeed through his eyes that she looks so wonderful and beautiful.
Other request I may ask is, artist should stay in his Khmer style, specially in Khmer Empire style because his oeuvres look wonderfully great in that style. His art look vulgarly little while it goes into chin yuon style as in Khmer rouge style (I may say, as Khmer rouge did in term of politics).
this is not creativity, and don't fool yourselves saying this is about Apsara, the body shape and postures in these paintings are those of white/westerner models. the minimal creativity here is about superimpose earlier (like Nheuk Dim's) Khmer's paintings on cheap sexy photoprints of western commercicials. There is no originality here! Come on be fair and rational. I am not interested in the subject of shutting down the website because I am all for free expression. However, I disagree that this would be of equal value to the creation of Apsara sculpture or Khmer culture; and of course, it is not an originality.

Revealing a private body part is almost a sure thing to ofense someone. No matter how beautiful that body part is, but to shut it down is not necessary. There are an adult and there are children which living in this world. We need to make sure that both can live on the same planet or the same part of the world. There are things that called restriction and fine. Reahu.net can stay open and able to sell their arts to someone or an adult who appreciates theirs. Just please becareful and don't let it falls into the hand of a minor or kids under 18 years old. If they do then Lok Chumteav Phavi must step in to protect those children. We also have parents, teachers, temples and monks that are sufficient enough to teach our children about having a good behavior and moral and right from wrong. Government should not have to do too much and use his/her power and authority over everything just because she/ he has it. Let the policemen, the law, the court and other people share their works. What will our government gain or get from shuting this website down? An Angry customer? or publisher? Worse yet from our own people that we love and admire this type of arts. Also how does the government make money or collect taxes when there is less and less businesses around? New and exciting business means jobs, money and taxes for the country. So long as the business is operated appropriately. Again, it's not necessary. Our culture will not be lost or disrespectful by letting this website open. Lok Chumteav and our government will not be hated, Reahu. net can still produce their fun loving arts or sell their them openly. The country will make money. The same goes with the Reahu.net. People who want Reahu website shut down are either stupid ignorant or they dont appreciate his art. Hey if it offends you, dont go on it, it even say on his site +18 and over. Plus apsaras are half nude from the waiste up, as is our ancient apsara carvings of Angkor. Shut this down, then might as well DESTROY our ancient temples with those kinds of carvings also.
Look at India art in ancient times, some of their carvings are sexually explicite and are on many of their holy Hindu temples. Go out and LEARN some more you idiots, the world doesn't revolve around just you.

Recently reahu.net gets a big hit over the half naked Apsara. The Ministry of Women Affairs is likely to shutdown the website citing the result of a heavy impact on the Cambodian culture and the youths.
To my views:
• There is nothing worse than CTN Khmer movie by Mrs. Paon Phoung Bopha that goes deep into the heart of the Cambodian kids without any audience pre-warning. All is about love and sex!
• There is nothing worse than prostitutes roaming the capital and the whole country.
• There is nothing worse than a monk who raped a Western Tourist.
• There is nothing worse than begging to buy luxurious car
• There is nothing worse than illegal logging and seeing our forest and wildlife dwindling.
• There is nothing worse than seeing injustice to innocent people
• There is nothing worse than seeing those general cars with military plate roaming the street and abuse traffic laws.
• There is nothing worse than human trafficking and women exploitation and the disgrace of the morale.

The half naked Apsara is a message to tell the slow development of the country - both the culture and other aspects because of the undeveloped mindsets of our leaders. When they are visiting developed countries, do they bring something back or they just ignore everything?
The Khmer is born with creative art but if you talk about creative to our leaders, do they really understand what creative is about?
Do we utilize our culture fully?
Does the Khmer language develop?
Where is Khemarak Yeanakam now?
How about Putasasnak Bondith?
What about the Cambodian song now? Always about love Oun /Bong, isn't it?
For some reasons, we need to examine the works done by reahu.net and warn this site for some of their contents.

I expressed my concern about this type of filth attracting unwanted attention by white sex tourists and pedophiles from the Western country. This type of "art" is offensive to the 15 million people in Cambodia. Please, if you're from overseas, respect your own people back home. You're not better than us.
Maybe, Meeh Sompheugn-oversea can help promote tourists in Cambodia by dressing up like those in the picture and help guide the tourists around Ankor Wat. After all, that is all they know how to do. Thus, its a win-win solution: they are happy, and we get the moneys.

My personal Widely thinking with all those pictures are just the art. Normally, Khmer people always keep their good tradition on the lip. but they never agree with thier real life style which they are doing everyday. How to hide elephant die? real art mean everything focus on the real social. Artist always draw s.th indirectly. so watcher please don't judge to quickly.
