Every generation of Cambodian leaders boast that they and their group have accomplished achievements for Cambodia, therefore, they elevate themselves to the position of “Father and Mother” of Khmer people.
In reality, they all have better living condition than ordinary Khmer people. Their living condition is like “night and day” (or “chalk and cheese”) when compared to that of ordinary Khmer people.
Khmer leaders’ duty is the unconditional protection of the interest of the people and of the Cambodian nation, but, to the contrary, they all consider Cambodia as their private property… and they consider Khmer people as their unconditional slaves instead.
When will the Phnom Penh regime leaders recognize that they are in fact the servants of Khmer People? They are not “Father and Mother” of Khmer People!

If anyone really wants to know for sure that he or she does really care of for Cambodia and provides real benefits to Khmer people, you have to see the results from that person's actions,regarless of whose nationalist is.

Who's to blame when Khmer have no land to call its own. Khmer are known for greed, boasting, and lacks of nationalism. It's not surprise that Cambodia will soon be the next Champa, and it deserves such fate, nonetheless. What a disgrace race!!! Shame to be khmer!!!

In a sense YES, only if we take the term LEADER as the ONE who possesses sympathy, compassion, generosity, and mercy, etc. A bastard like Hun Sen has none of these qualities. What he has are: hatred, revenge, cruelty, arrogance, cockiness, and envy, etc. As he possesses of these qualities, he is NO fit in a LEADER, but a puppetic RULER. that is correct; that is a geat observation and great point to make! cambodian society needs to change that old, no good view that leaders are the "mother and father" of the country and people. not so, it just their belief. in contrary, leaders are at the service of the country and its people. thus, it is good that cambodia need to change this backward, unpopular attitude that they are the "mother and father of the nation when, in reality, they are actually at the service of the nation and its people. look, no one can buy or become a self-proclaim that they are the "mother and father" of someone else. however, they may be a god-father or god-mother of someone, by they are not biological parents. that said, though, not all biological parents are good parents, either. anyway, that's not the point. attitude change is necessary for cambodia. this is called paradigm shift or paradigm change, same as attitude change. and changes can start with education and knowledge, of course. thank you.

A few years ago I read a big vollume English-Khmer dictionary compiled by Mr. Long Hair. I found errors in spelling and wrong sentence structures on almost every page; some page consist of more than one error. I think a dictionary must be free of errors because it is officially and acadamically approved to be prited by the education department, so it's OK for the painter to have some spelling errors, I guess.
