(RTTNews) - A bomb that was possibly left over by anti-government protesters exploded at Thailand's main government complex on Thursday, as Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva was chairing a meeting of senior security officers.
Nobody was harmed in the explosion of the bomb, which was hidden inside a pipe behind the Thai Kufah Building, where the meeting was being held.
The bomb blasted at 2 p.m. local time, as officials were clearing the compound to make preparations for Children's Day celebration, reports said.
Pongsak Siriwong, director of the Household and Vehicle Division, was quoted as saying that they may find more bombs in future, believed to be left behind by anti-government People's Alliance for Democracy activists, who seized the Government House in August.
