Shortly after the sacking of Ke Kim Yan from the army, The Cambodia Daily reported in today’s edition that 507 soldiers serving as bodyguards to Chea Sim, the CPP president and Senate president, were sent back to their barracks.
All of these 507 soldiers belong to Brigade 70 which also provides bodyguards to Hun Sen. Pol Saroeun, the new RCAF chief of staff, said that the transfer of these soldiers was not part of a reshuffle, and the men were not reassigned, but they were merely brought back to their barracks for more training. However, an anonymous senior official from Chea Sim’s cabinet indicated that the redeployment of the 507 soldiers is permanent. Major Hem Savy, an officer in Chea Sim’s bodyguards, was quoted by The Cambodia Daily as saying that “there will be more removals.” The 507 soldiers redeployed include two brigadier generals and several army officers. Currently, Chea Sim is still being protected by a unit of about 100 bodyguards. When reached over the phone by a reporter, Tea Banh promptly hung up his phone. With such large contingent of soldiers acting as bodyguards to CPP VIPs, it’s no wonder that Cambodia has no soldiers left defending our borders from the Vietnamese and Thai encroachments. They need to stop and think about there own people they suffer evry day. I believe that only Hun Sen can find justic for them and Hun San need to have donfedent that use his own power to protect the country too.

Hun Sen alone has 3,000 doggy bodyguards. Each of them receices a $300-monthly salary. $300 time 3,000=$900,000, close to $1,000,000, a month, ha! This dictator has been haunted by his own shadow, that's why he need companies of dogs to protect him.

I wouldn't doubt it if Huynh Sen have more than 3,000 bodyguards. He needed as much as he can to protect him from his people...... not his nemesis. Like an extra eyes, if you will.
HS doesn't know that these human shield will take off running when shit hits the fan. Notice only a criminal enterprise would call their protector a "bodyguard." Everywhere else, they call it either "Agent or S. Service."
No problem, we just keep on adding more and more bodyguards as we go. The Khmer PM will not be short of any thing he needs.
