A destitute by the justice in his country and excluded from politics for a five-year term, the former Thai government leader travelled to the neighboring kingdom.

Guests to the wedding of Hun Mana, the owner of Bayon TV station and Hun Sen’s daughter, were surprised to see the presence of Somchai Wongsawat, the former Thai PM, and his wife at the wedding on Friday 02 January at the Mondial Center in Phnom Penh. Somchai Wongsawat was present as a “private party,” Khieu Kanharith, the government spokesman, insisted.

Somchai is the former Thai PM Thaksin Shinawatra’s brother-in-law, the latter is currently living in exile to escape justice in his country. Somchai was removed from power in December 2008 by the Thai constitutional court, following several months of political crisis.

At a glance the couple was a Khmer family, I thought. But it is the Thai former Prime Minister Somchai and his beautiful wife. A beautiful couple in deed. Welcome to srok Khmer, dear friends.

If the poor peasants in the rural area succeed in forcing the democracy in Thailand to work, It is better off for Khmer. But if the poor still want to live under their elite-rich masters in Bangkok, they still be poor and look down it by them.

Plus most of those Rural residences are majority Khmer ethnic and khmer can deal with them better. Khmer need not claim those lost territory many years back, let those Khmer ethnic decide their own destiny.

Mr. Somchai doesn't have a whole lot of choises. Half of his country men don't want him. He has the right to be happy and going places. Bring more businesses with you to Cambodia too, because thailand should know better. With Cambodia, she can gain a lot more. What a point of putting troop and crap along the border for? What in the hell happen to one currentcy or borderless asia? wasn't suppose to happen in 5 years? Politic and politic. Everyboduy wants to be in charge. Some were taking in wrong way. What ever you do, please have respect for other people and set them free just like what you're doing right now. No communist and perhaps, you should change your men's shirt to green instead of red, because it confuses ta hell out of people! Are you a communist right? Yes you are.

Alright what about Abhisit? Good man, but for thailand only. There is no such thing as one way street. Please tell us how can you achieve an economic prosperity when you cutting everybody else off from Thailand Mr. Abhisit? You country men had opened a hell lot of businesses in Seam Reap. Why cann't you do the same somemore some places else in Cambodia? Take Princess Sarinhorn with you wherever you go. That might make a whole world of differences and good luck!
