Sun Sokun Mealea, a high-ranking official of the Norodom Ranariddh Party (NRP), was nominated to a position as a member of the economic, social and cultural observer group with a rank equivalent to that of a secretary of state, following her recent defection to the CPP.
Sun Sokun Mealea was deputy secretary-general of the NRP, but she defected to the CPP, and she was subsequently nominated to her new position through a royal decree dated 12 January 2009.

you miss the whole point, big time , too. she was an arden critic of hun sen and cpp. not srp, all those years. so joining cpp is a reflection of her hypocrisy and betrayal of her own ideal and stance.
