A Khmer monk residing at Wat Siri Oudom in Toul Ta Moak province (Kampuchea Krom) has claimed in a letter that the Vietnamese authority has confiscated lands from this temple.
The Ven. Kim Sisamnang, from Wat Siri Oudom in Village 4 of Long Hung commune, Loc Ninh district, Toul Ta Moak or Binh Phuoc province, has sent a letter dated 25th January, 2009 to Mr. Thach Setha, executive chairman of the World Khmer Krom Federation, that the Vietnamese authority in this province has come to cut off 950 square metres of lands from Wat Siri Oudom of 50 metres in length and 19 metres in width for the construction of a cultural centre for a meeting place of the local Vietnamese authority.
Ven. Kim Sisamnang said that those lands belong to the temple. In his letter, he added that the Vietnamese authority had tried unsuccessfully on several occasions to confiscate these lands.
Recently, the Vietnamese has secretly come to talk to the Temple Committee and forced the committee chairman, Mr. Lem Lay, to sign a document giving the lands to the Vietnamese authority for the purpose of building a local meeting place for the Vietnamese local officials.
Later, the Vietnamese authority came secretly to survey the lands without informing the temple or the monks residing there.
A man living near the temple said that, after they finished surveying the lands on the morning of 24th January, the Vietnamese authority deployed security forces around the temple and did not allow the monks to go in and out of the temple.

With a lackey to be a ruler of the coutry, we Khmers will never able to keep anything safe from being enchroached by these neighboring enemies.

Why don't Khmer krom kill those viets when they enter the land. I say just ambush them and kill them. Khmer Krom need to rebel and rise and start fighting back not with words but with force and weapons. Any weapon will do, ax, knives whatever it takes to fight back. You have to be smarter than the perpetrator. If Khmer Krom still soft with these Viet officials then they will keep harassing forever and get what they want. Stand up and fight just like the black people in America. They cannot kill everybody because the whole world will not allow it to happen and Vietnam will be in deep shit and that's what Khmer Krom need for their people. Rise up!! Protesting will not do you any good.
It's good to see Vietnamese administrators is not as soft as Khmer administrators when it comes to squatters. You can't just let a few squatters bullying and stealing lands from the law abiding citizen of the country. They should be brought to justice, not negotiated with.

Why don't take the lead and rise up? You could only say this from a safe distance. Its not that easy when the viet has every means to destroy Khmer Krom. This problem is not Khmer Krom problem alone. This problem belong to all Khmer and none Khmer alike that love justice and human dignity.
Lets all rise up.
No way, just look at the Canadian problem. It's certainly not a French problem.
Please don't listen to Ah potato diggers who try to use Khmer people as human shield and Cambodia as a battle ground.
