Cambodian King leaves for China for routine medical checkup

PHNOM PENH, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni left here on Wednesday for China for routine medical checkup.

He was seen off at the Phnom Penh International Airport by Senate President Chea Sim, National Assembly President Heng Samrin, Prime Minister Hun Sen, other government officials, royal family members and Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Zhang Jinfeng.

During this trip, Sihamoni will look in his parents, former King Norodom Sihanouk and former Queen Monineath Sihanouk, who are having a rest in Beijing.

The couple went to Beijing last August for routine medical checkup and rest.

Indeed routine medical check up can be done in any country even including Cambodia. when the King has to fly to China for his medical routine check up is bad blow to Cambodian public healthcare, where only Blood pressure check up, kidney, colesterole and liver check are very basic of medical professional. Cambodian leaders need to trust their own medical services. Areak Prey

Even ordinary Cambodian people don't trust the public health services. As they say, no money no honey! They could be given fake drugs or wrong diagnosis if they were not careful.

Top CPP leaders also go to Vietnam and Thailand for medical check-ups, they just don't tell the public that they are very sick mentally and physically. Their spouses go to Singapore for cosmetic surgery, medical check-ups and shopping.

So, we the ordinary people will just have to swallow the rabbit-dung pills and hope for a miraculous cure.

Guru Som Bahadur Lama

said the following of his ward: “He was obedient. He never said ‘no’ to my word. He was friendly and sociable and he received education in that manner. He used to say frequently that his attention was much more drawn towards meditation than towards reading books.” He was granted the initiation of “Panchasheel.” Panchasheel is a Sanskrit word for a Buddhist initiation consisting of five vows, which are as follows:
1. One must not kill animals (it is preferable to be vegetarian).
2. One must not steal.
3. One must not lie.
4. One must not think negatively about others.
5. One must not take intoxicating substances.

Finally Buddha our supreme boss said well that the ignorance is the source(spring) of the suffering, it lights(enlightens) that the ambition is a shape of this ignorance to cause non-stop the misfortune of the Cambodians because the ambition of their leaders to obtain the power with life and to aim at expansionism of their neighbours lasts for a very long time, but crace in the truth Buddha was able to leave this circle of the suffering and to reach the elimination thus
