Kith Meng and the government, through Keat Chhon, the minister of Economy, have signed an agreement on Monday 23 March to provide a 15-year VIPs transport (limousine service) monopoly to the Royal Group company led by Kith Meng.
The Royal Group now owns 40 vehicles and it employs personnel trained in driving VIP convoys. If the government need will be higher, the Royal Group can gather up to about 100 vehicles.
According to the terms of this agreement, private company and NGO officials could also need to use this service.
Yim Sovann, SRP spokesman, is in disagreement with this project: “The government must ensure this VIP transport by itself, otherwise, the government must allow competition to take place between several private companies.”

I am no a CPP supporter, but sometimes the SRP barks on useless issue like this one. How big is a limousine service in a poverty country like Cambodia materialize the market? The SRP should brought up more sensitive matter like the land grapping, oil revenues, and illegal concession of land to the foreigners that posts danger to our future solvancy as a nation. The SRP has loss its mojo and will never topple the CPP because of its passive movements. Khmer needed a strong opposition leadership to challenge the Viet's cronies, but that only a wishful thinking since when Khmer have a true hero??? Dooms day lie eminent ahead as the Vietnamization is trolling swiftly at full speed to wipe khmer race off the map for years to come as their long-term plans. Good luck khmer, you have to one to blame but yourselves because of your greed and un-patriotic behaviors.
I know about the transport of limousines from the US since many month ago. The architect of this
"business" is Kith Meng's uncle, named Say, a former Casino dealer at Seattle and now one of the many deputies governors of Sihanoukville.
Kith Meng himself lives with Hun Neng's daughter who had divorced AH HOK's son. AH HOK's son just got married with Hun Sen's daughter, former wife of Moeng Kompheak who now lives with a young women, a widow and daughter of a late official at the Ministry of Finance who has 45 appartments and many villas and plots of lande.
Funny familial liaison!
8:16PM are you a fool; SRP, you men KI, report the unimportant news! But they are important to us!
By the way as and long time reader, KI reported all possible thing that good or bad from Cambodia it can find! And they did not lie to make Hun Xen goverment look bad just happen to be Hun Xen goverment do bad thing more than goo! And they (Hon Xen cronies) may do worst than KI could find out!"May lightning strike the evils"
To me, KI not report the news, to topple CPP but KI want to provide news and educate all Cambodia to do the right thing for the NATION, includ CPP in that too!
FOOL! cleane yourselves and be educated! don't be stupid with PhD from Hanoi!
Good, that means the job will be done with quality guaranteed.
hey, cambodia waits for no one, especially not the scary cat type, you know who! more power to khmer entrepreneurs. god bless them all.
Amen, brother!
The problem of this contract is about the government breaking the peace treaty of 1991 for changing Cambodia from planning economy to market economy.
1-The planning economy is governed by the government all businesses activities. The government make the decision who can do what and who can do what.
2-Market economy is about freedom to econony participation. The government cannot make any decision on business activities at all. The government can only suggest about what level of taxes, the government will tax.
This breach of the treaty is very serious. In a law abiding Nation, Keat Chhon must resign for his violation of the peace treaty. Areak Prey
