Cambodian bourse is still on in spite of the current economic context?

Korea Exchange to jointly launch Cambodian bourse

SEOUL, March 24 (Reuters) - The Korea Exchange (KRX) said on Tuesday that it had signed an agreement with the Cambodian government to jointly launch a Cambodian stock exchange by the end of 2009.

The Cambodian government and KRX will control 55 percent and 45 percent of the exchange, respectively, and will jointly operate the bourse, KRX said.

The announcement marks the latest effort by the South Korean exchange to expand its presence abroad.

In November 2008, KRX signed a memorandum of understanding with Laos government on setting up the country's stock exchange, with the South Korean bourse holding 49 percent of the venture.

Excellent, it couldn't come in a better time. CPP will look great, and SRP will look like shit.

don't give up because cambodia is starting to play catch up with the rest of asia. when khmer people from all walks of life finally woke up and see the world, cambodia will be a happy, prosperous country and then we all can look back in retrospect and see a country like korea never give up on cambodia through thick and thin and this way we will appreciate korea for training and hanging in there with cambodia despite a lot of pessimistic and cynical view others may have on cambodians ability. thank you the korean people and gov't and business people and may korea and cambodia friendship last for eternity. god bless cambodia and korea.

if you could have more desire or more caution in life, which would you choose? don't be surprised if many people reply "more caustion!" more caution sounds safe at best, dull at worst; however, caution can lead to fear.

fear, the root of caution, is like a handbrake. pull on it and you stop moving toward what you desire; leave it on and you're stuck at a standstill. if we live in fear, we fail to live because of fear. fear creates reluctance, dilemma, weakness, resistance, discomfort, doubt, aversion.

on the other hand, desire is the accelerator of life. press on it, and you start to move; step on it, and you get places fast. desire provides the opening, the motivation, the conviction, the power and the persistence, all the things required for success. when it's strong enough, healthy desire can open the doors to the joys of living, and even counteract fear and aversion.

we do have choices; to live a life full of desire or more caution. what stands in between is the buzz word "stimulus." our caution came from an unpleasant, painful stimulus. so let's move forward to stimulate desire. today, more desire may sound downright dangerous but, of course, most of us would be far better off with more desire. thank you and god bless cambodia.
