I think Hun Sen has skills, not education. People who have skill can survive or defeat anyone who do not have. Having education does not ensure your success.
Rice is more than a staple of the Cambodian diet. It also implicates land rights, trade and international relations. Some Cambodians are frustrated over land leases to neighboring Vietnam. Nailing on the negative sides of their opponent? so far is good, but not effective to win them over.
Having Europe to be on the back ground is wonderful, but also still looking very weak.
You need to understand Cambodian people want more than just caressing. We want peace security and a smart government. So far Cambodia can enjoy semi-peace and security. Even thought we know that our life's standard is at the buttom of the world and Vietnam is the Boss, but it looks more like a best buddy and the big C up north? Don't they mean anything? Cambodia like any country needs best buddy. Thailand should be the one, because we are the same people, except language, but Thailand had failed to do that. The same goes with America. What is wrong here?
Before SRP can do anything, the whole country will be for sales to everyone else, but our own people. You heard about the oil, the iron and the gold deposit in our land. Those are advertisement to run our country and people down to the ground! What can the SRP do to change that?! You don't have King's trust or powerful partner. Want to be the next Lon Nol? You might want to be reconsidered. In the meantime keep fighting. Cambodian people inside and out side of the country had eyes only for you for the future. Unless, some else knows better or come up sooner. After all, you're gold and good luck!
