Ms. Mu Sochua (pictured), an opposition MP from the Sam Rainsy Party, has decided not to attend the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) conference in Phnom Penh after the security guards barred her from entering the conference building in the first place.
Before departing on an overseas trip on Wednesday, she told of the reason why she boycotted the conference. She said: "If they dare to violate our rights like this, how can we continue to participate? For me, I considered that they have already refused my participation when the chief of the security banged the door shut in my face and told me that he does not know me and told me that I cannot enter the building."
Mr. Chheang Vun, co-chair of the conference told RFA that the security was not instructed to bar her from attending the conference. They were instructed to ensure security for the participants. He said: "We instructed the security personnel to ensure security for the participants. All people attending must register their names. We didn't instruct them to bar Ms. Mu Sochua form attending the conference. When we received the news that she cannot enter the building, we announced publicly in the conference that Ms. Mu Sochua can attend the conference any time she wants."
Ms. Mu Sochua said she received an invitation to attend the conference but because she needs to attend the eye clinic that's why she was a little bit late.
She said that her rights as an MP had been severely violated. As a result, she decided to boycott the conference altogether and departs for an overseas mission.

This chief of security should be punished for playing in politics. His job is tho ensure security and safety, not to bar anyone from attending the conference. Mu Sochua got the invitation and she had registered her name. If in doubt the guy should open the invitation and the registration books to see her name. Or enquire with the chairman or the organisers. This is what happened when we are dealing with communist officials and uneducated people.

When someone intentionally slapped you in the in the face and say sorry later, he does not mean it. The CPP instructed the security to bar her from entering and pretending to play dumb and say later that she can attend? It doesn't make sense. It is only for publicity purpose only.
This is how the communist operate, they can't tolerated difference of opinion. That's why the country is very poor due to the leadership of uneducated people like Hun Sen, Chea Sim and Heng Samrin who were temple boy and cattle thieves.
Madam MP need to know her schedules, not letting personal matter get in between the nation's work. She devoted her time for the people, so don't blame the people for denying her entrance...She should be appologizing to the people she serves...Shame...don't blame others, but blame yourself.

You are damn wrong! If the security guards do not her, they let her go in already. That was the intention of the CPP to humiliate the opposition party PMs, and it is Hun Sen's nature: the nature of a low life rustic who has been intoxicated with power, pride, and money, and trying to show off his authority to the defense weak. In Cambodia, the gang of leaders have never stopped their behavior of cruelty. Hun Sen or other body guards or security guards can play all trick to harass, to defame, to make conflict, or to injure you...but later they will not investigate the case or find out the accusation...but the government officials will make the injured become more harassed.
This country is led by a group of gangsters.
Chheang Vun didn't take in charge to find out the security guard who perpetrate that by requesting Mu's evidence to legally investigate it...but Chheang Vun and other CPP's gang members try to use other political rhetoric irresponsibly.
So, we can assume that, that security guard got command directly from Chheang Vun or other to harass PM Mu.
Did security chief know everyone who attended conference and how? strange in cambodia that security must know person before allowing enter conference. funny!

The security guard must have confused her with a crazy woman that can't keep her mouth shut for the peace of others. Just like how she couldn't keep her mouth shut servicing her fellow SRP's lingas lol.
Security cannot know everyone, for the sake of security's duty; they had to check her id or other document that can ensure that she is the Cambodians' representative.
Why security shut the door or acted to her intentionally like that?

Maybe the problem isn't her not being let in but her making a big deal out of something she could have solved being a MP. Obviously, this political bitch, excuse my french, loves to make unnecessary noise. Maybe the real problem is very different from what she claims. After all, there are always two sides to the story.

I think Mrs Mu Soc Hour Shouldn't too angry. Being an MP is very frustrating. Therefore you need more patient and call for dismissal of the guardian for working toward a political party instead of being a neutral. As I have said before that each MP didn't wear any signage to represente as immunity at all. Their immunity has come to them authomatically by election as a member. They will loose authomatically their immunity if they fail to be re-elected again. Last two weeks ago when they said they lift immunity from Sam Ransy, Mr sam Ransy didn't even present there. And when they said they restore back his immunity, Mr Sam ransy was also not there. Therefore lifting immunity is a bully only and they should realised that none of them can take any member immunity at all. Areak Prey

No sign should be showed publicly, but security guard should ask her id or list name of the participants.
This security guard is so stupid, cannot work properly...the authority has to punish this security.

The CPP must have instructed the security to bar her from attending. Without order from the top, he can't do anything. She registered her name and got invitation card. If in doubt they can check the registration and invitation book, then problem is solved. But they got instruction to bar her that's why they don't bother to check any registration book. this is how communists do things.

Why do you always talk about or get somebody that dosen't anything about politics, but still be the subject of this fucked up forum. I hate to see innocent people got trashed and Ki-Media didn't do anything to prevent that.
