The Party and State have always attached importance to disseminating information on the sea, islands, border demarcation, planting of markers and foreign affairs.
This statement was made by Pham Gia Khiem, Deputy Prime Minister and To Huy Rua, head of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education at a conference held in the northern port city of Hai Phong on March 20-21.
Addressing the conference, Mr Khiem and Mr Rua highlighted the country’s achievements in disseminating the above mentioned information which has helped raise the awareness of relevant agencies and individuals about the nation’s sovereignty.
They emphasized that the completion of the Vietnam-China border demarcation has created a firm foundation for developing a border of peace, friendship, long-term stability and lasting cooperation between the two countries and opening up a new page in the Vietnam-China relationship.
It is important to disseminate such information to help Vietnamese people and international friends better understand about the significance of the border demarcation between Vietnam and China, that is aimed at reaching a consensus in society, consolidating people’s trust in the Party and State, and contributing to countering wrongful allegations from hostile forces.
For the Vietnam-Laos border, both countries’ leaders said that the launch of a project to plant more markers and upgrade existing markers along the common borderline has reaffirmed the significance of special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples, helping build a border line of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.
For the Vietnam-Cambodia borderline, priorities will be given to disseminating information on the mapping of the shared borderline to serve the demarcation and planting of markers at the border gates.
The leaders added that the issuing the recent directive on renovating and strengthening work on foreign-related information in the new situation is of great significance from now through 2020. The directive will help meet the demand for renovation and international integration. It is needed to set up a strategy on foreign-related information with a vision towards 2020 and promote the role of the people in the work.
Regarding advantages and difficulties in carrying out this work, participants agreed that agencies at the central and grassroots levels should closely cooperate to in research and forecasting projects to ensure that foreign related information will be disseminated in a timely, clear sharp and effective manner.

When did you lose your respect such a reckless King? I lost mine since I joined the Khmer Republic army in the 70. I have tried very hard to collect my respect back, but it denies and cuss me if I give respect to any one who hurts and harms innocent Khmer people.

all khmer people have the right to be concerned when it comes to our borderlines! i think any decision about the borderline should be debate fully in parliament by all khmer parties for the national interest of all khmer people, not just any one political group, but all khmer people because this is one of the national interest and should be talked about openly by all khmers. remember koh tral! khmer people have a legitimate concern when it comes to dealing with youn and siem!
