Prime Minster Hun Sen expressed support for Thailand to host Asean Summit with its dialogue partners and encouraged it to resume it as soon as possible.
"We understand difficulties faced by Thai Prime Minister. We encouraged Thailand to organize the Summit as soon as possible," said Hun Sen in an inauguration ceremony of water supply station on Tuesday.
He added that the Asean leaders and dialogue partner countries support Thailand to organize the Asean Summit. However, the summit can be held or not, it depends on the coordination of Abhisit Vejjajiva Thai Prime Minister, with the leaders of six dialogue partners which include China, Japan, Republic of Korea, Australia, Indian, and News Zealand.
The Asean summit has been rescheduled to be held in June after it was cancelled in April following red-shirted protesters who invaded into a meeting hall.
