Cambodian reinforcements posted around ancient temple

Si SA KET, April 6 (TNA) -- More Cambodian reinforcements have arrived at the disputed ancient temple of Preah Vihear where Thai and Cambodian soldiers fought two deadly clashes last week.

According to official statements, the overall situation at the ancient temple has returned to normal following talks of the field commanders of the two neighbouring countries, but Thai soldiers on patrol said Cambodian reinforcements had arrived and were posted at the disputed area around the temple.

The latest clashes between Thai and Cambodian soldiers broke out Friday when soldiers of the two countries exchanged fire twice in the area. Two Thai and two Cambodian soldiers died in the fighting while nine Thai soldiers were wounded. The clashes occurred just a day after a landmine explosion that blew off a Thai soldier’s leg only a few kilometres away from the temple.

The fighting had also destroyed more than 200 Cambodian shops near the staircases of the temple proper. No casualties were reported among Cambodian civilians as they had evacuated the zone several days before the clashes took place.

Although ‘normalcy’ has returned, Cambodian officials are not allowing Cambodian or foreign tourists to visit the temple.

Si Sa Ket governor Senee Jitkasem said it is unknown when Khao Phra Viharn National Park, closed since Friday, would reopen.

He said the park is expected to remain closed during Songkran, Thailand’s traditional New Year and water festival April 13-15.

I had a feeling the second clashes brought lot of weaponry and troops into Cambodia. AAA guns, missiles, surface to air missiles... may be lots of aircraft to face-out the final round.

look how similar their pronunciation of the khmer preah vihear as prah viharn as they are tonal and can't pronounce khmer words properly. take for example also the khmer word "phnom", they pronounce it "phanom". just look so similar to khmer except one or two letters were added to make foreigners who know nothing about khmer think it thai's word! my god! i me a break, get you own words or something, siem thieves! i also, heard some brain-washed foreign who was drunk by the siem brain-washing them also think the work "songkran" was thai also, in really, in khmer songkran was always been used in our calendar same as "year" in english. we say like choul moha songkran to mean the same thing as choul chnam thmey; all mean the same thing, but some ignorant foreign who know nothing about khmer language seemed to think khmer evolved around thai or siem! it is the opposite, my dear! the only difference was that thailand was well-known to the world because they never have war in their country whereas cambodia have had many wars and civil conflict that kept foreigners or tourists away for too long. that's now been changed, though; and now cambodia is starting to get more and more tourists so they learn about cambodia now. thank god, cambodia is no longer being kept isolated as isolation is what cause our country to be less known to the outside world! let's help to empower and change all of that! god bless cambodia.

The Thai has borrowed many Khmer's words and continue to steal some more words.

Most of the government and royal still practice Khmer vocabulary until now.

The Thai referred HUN SEN "Nak Leng" in Khmer "Neak Leng" means thug, gangster, mobster and big brother etc.

It is true that the Thai meant to called HUN SEN nak leng. And it is wrong for being a FM and used a low life word toward other.

Shame on you stupid Thai!!!
